looks like Sony hasn't fixed the yellow stain yet. I bought a new xperia s, batch 12w13. doesn't come with nfc tags, the quick charger also doesn't has the the quick charger sticker. hope this new batch has the yellow stain problem fixed. guess only time will tell.

Since I got it back from the service center, I haven't used it heavily. But just now, I was playing "Blood and Glory" for a while and it was getting warm. So I stopped the game, and checked the temparature from the battery app - it was 42'C.

Then, I told myself it's a good chance to see if the new screen has yellow tint. I used the Flashlight app to turn on the full white screen. To my great disbelief and dismay, there were, not just one, but two stretches of yellow tints. One is along the left edge of the screen and and another at the top portion.

But this time, I'm not gonna send it in unless they can promise me a fixed date of return. I have a DSLR and am gonna try taking some photos which reveal the notorious yellow tints on the screen...

SONY's announcement that they have fixed the problem, as I feel now, is false.

Change to other phone = no yellow tint on XS.

To be honest....that is the only solution :)

Depend. Some said their have no yellow tint. So depend? I believe all have to be honest. Yellow tint also appear in other phones beside XS. I suggest you go down to xperia shop to try out the phone first.

actually wats so great about ics? used the nexus and one x before, missed the menu button. :o

Agree with you. I am still flipping through my Ice Cream Sandwiched tablet and see what's so fantastic about it...

Nada.

Seems the best thing ever happened to Android is the introduction of Live Wallpapers :p

ics is overrated. even without it now, i'm happy with my xs :D

Probably it's because they never touched it that's why they are so excited about it. Probably after getting it, they would go, "Oh. New upgrade. Yay. Not much difference. Bah. Wait for next Update and hope they with give us a newer version!"

Lol.
