Sticker abt NFC? Nope, did you see the red circle that I drew? I believe it is a very deep chip on the camera glass... am I right?

my set has it too. not to worry. might be a "design" thingy to differentiate with the fruit phone =:p

So is it normal? does your OP5 has that deep chip too? I just want to confirm this.

Thanks.

it's normal. It's just the way they designed the NFC antenna since NFC probably doesn't pass through metal well. It's not a very elegant solution, but works. :s13:

Just collected my set from 131 Express. Staff was friendly and patient enough to allow me to check through the phone.

Now waiting for my Nikin case and glass protector from Taobao! :s13: Btw, the phone doesn't come with an earpiece?

Just to check with you guys..When you type *#*#4636#*#* and go into phone information, under "Set preferred network type:" is it default at "TD-SCDMA/CDMA/UMTS"? Can't seem to change it to any other options as it goes back to default everytime

Portable charger no difference as long as cable is specs compliance

make sure buy good quality usb c cable. at least those well known brand.

also, if you use 3rd party cable..you can't activate dash charge with the default adapter...

Or just to be having correct equipment, supported network and location vicinity. ;)

Very strange. My mum Zenfone 3 with M1 able to get 4G+ at home but my OP5 beside the Zenfone 3 only get 4G instead of 4G+. Wondering what make Zenfone 3 so strange. Doing speedtest, Zenfone 3 with 4G+ get abt 90Mbps download while OP5 only 40+Mbps.

OP5 don't have bands for 4g+ in SG, but other countries got.

But do u know when u EVER use 40mbps? Data allowance so little 40mbps and 90mbps u won't feel a diff one.

Main importance on lte/4g is latency and ping, as long as it's good u won't feel a diff

Dual Band 4g (M1 & Starhub)- 1800 & 2600 Mhz
Tri-Band 4g (Singtel) - 900, 1800 & 2600 Mhz

OP5 has these bands
Code:
4G (LTE)
FDD LTE: Band 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/17/18/19/20/25/26/28/29/30/66
TDD LTE: Band 38/39/40/41
3G (UMTS/CDMA2000/TD-SCDMA)

UMTS(WCDMA): Band 1/2/4/5/8
CDMA EVDO: BC0 (800)
TD-SCDMA: Band 34/39
Plus all our telcos have 4G aggregations M1 and SH using 2 band and Singtel using 3 bands
