i was talking to the gf and they sprayed the GIT on my wrist and the blotter. lol.. i didnt really spray as i turned ard.. extreme right hand bottle at Essential ~ lol

Anyone tried the new range of Issey Miyaki? Tried the female version with the bottle like a come and silver cap on the bottle, consider lasting and good.

I heard they have newer version which is in golden colour but have not tried it yet so like to see any feedback?

I had high hopes for L'eau D'Issey but unfortunately for me it turns sour and nasty on my skin so it's my loss.
What I've learned is that no matter how highly regarded a frag is, you must try it for yourself to see how it reacts on your skin and if you like it from top notes to dry down. I've so far been very lucky with my blind buys, the best of which is Terre D'Hermes, and I'll only risk that with cheaper buys (<USD40) nowadays. In fact I've got another 2 blind buys coming - Rochas Man (like Bond No.9 New Haarlem) and Christian Audigier Ed Hardy Love and Luck (like Creed Millesime Imperial).

I've started a thread wrt Decants and splits in this section to gauge interest.

I see, I tried Terre D'Hermes once but I some how feel that I cannot smell the fragrance or it may not be suitable for my skin.

However, I tried the other model, Un Jardin Sur Le Toit from Hermes, it is those fruity smell which is quite lasting on my skin, not sure why though.

Exactly. I like Sur Le Toit too! It's too close to TDH so I won't buy it. Lucky for me TDH has Excellent Longevity on my skin. I can smell myself through a whole work day.
Don't ask why. Just work with what we got. Everybody's chemistry is different.

Btw TDH has a Parfum also. You might like to try that as well.

You mean Sur Le Toit is close to Terre D'Hermes? I don't think so as Sur Le Toit is more of fruity smell while Terre D'Hermes is more on the musky side.

TDH top notes are a fresh burst of fruits that is very similar to Un Jardin Sur Le Toit to me.

I see. I have a few bottles of TDH left over so I tried today, I can still feel the fragrance after some time and it is quite strong, maybe stronger than Mont Blanc Legend Special Edition.

I went to my favourite frag shop today with the intent to sample some from my list and was super pleasantly surprised by Cartier Declaration. It wasn't even high up on my list. I was actually more interested in Paco Rabanne's Black XS and 1 Million.
I can see that Declaration and Terre D'Hermes was created by the same nose, Jean Claude Ellena. But with enough difference that I just had to buy Declaration. Very happy with my hoot. I also bought Flora Glorious Mandarin by Gucci for my wife.
The salesperson also sprayed some Lalique White for me on paper and I have to sample it on my skin first but I have a feeling that one is on my Buy list too. hehe
