It is strong but I don't think it's stronger than A*men. If u liked Amen and do wear it you should have no problem wearing PM. It's a flanker that shares the same 'platform' as original amen but the opening is like the raw malt that brewers use to make beer and whisky. Not so much coffee as Amen. I've only worn it once to a BBQ (perfect occasion) but the dry down is very similar to original Amen. I have both plus a sample of pure havane which I have not used.

Oh, I too wear the A*Men to a BBQ session, just 2 spray from the sample vial to my chest. It's quite okay, not very over powering I think, at least no one is complaining and I am enjoying it.
Well if you say pure malt is slightly lighter then maybe I'll wanna give it a try. But maybe I'll get pure Havane first. What's your take on Pure Havane? Since you have the sample to compare..

I have to admit that my nose is not picking up that much of a difference between the 2. There are differences but the 'big picture' is the same. I won't be buying a bottle of Pure Havane. I already have A*men and Pure Malt.

Nope. The only Oud frag i have is a sample of YSL M7. Use Oud sparingly. You don't want to knock out a room full of people.

Lol..just curious nia..too expensive for me..2.4grams cheapest is US$160:s22:..Currently using BLV pour homme and Dunhill Desire red.

Get the Aqua Di Gio
giorgio-armani-acqua-di-gio-pour-homme-100ml.jpg

Just tried the smell at Tangs Vivocity, there is two version as the older version is with the opaque bottle which is EDT while the newer version is the one with transparent bottle which is EDP and suppose to last longer, the smell is not bad though. =:p

Picked up some CDG Rhubarb (sherbet series) today while I'm holidaying in Hong Kong, nothing too fancy but a great summer scent nonetheless.

It opens up dry, green and tart, very fresh and has a bit of a sweet vanilla dry down. Small 30ml bottle though, which is a pity as I have a feeling I'd want to use more.

Was also pleasantly surprised to see Frederic Malle in the Joyce store in Central, nearly pulled the trigger on Geranium Pour Monsieur but want to compare price with Barney's when I visit next month, fingers crossed it'll be cheaper in the states.

The new Dries van Noten x Frederic Malle is pretty interesting too, in a woody kinda way.

How's the price of Frederic Malle compared to buying online? I might get a friend to buy for me if same.

Just bought these 2 this morning.

EDB is more gourmand, similar to Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille.
The Eau De Lucy Tan is more Lavender and refreshing, I also use the shaving cream.

Tried the newer ADG Essenza EDP at Robinsons this morning. Pleasantly surprised. Its more woody and reported to have better longevity. I quite like it, but maybe not enough to buy it while I still have ADG in my rotation. Perhaps when it runs out (which may be never).
I also like the magnetic cap! very cool. A copy of 212 Men, but still cool!

im now using this.

bought it from airport.

You have great taste! This one should be nuclear strength and sillage will be ginormous. Have you tried wearing it in a work setting or only for the evening out?
Three giants of the perfume industry created this. Carlos Benaim, Dominique Ropion and Olivier Polge.

I'm still struggling to find a Dior frag for myself. Sigh.

Oh yes, I remember 212 Men with the magnetic cap. The smell is much stronger than the original version.

Will probably consider after the next change as now clearing my small bottle of Terre D'Hermes.

anyone tried?

2013-GENTLEMEN-ONLY_STILL-LIFE-VISUAL-INTL_A4-PRINTING-USE-IMAGES_G005075.jpg

I just tried it. I like it. Very classy and bright but not citrusy (which I am beginning to dislike). There's something here that reminds me of Terre D'Hermes. I know I know, many frags remind me of TDH. There's also Vetiver which I love. Givenchy GO is on my buy list. Going to do a comparison with TDH and if longevity is good I'll buy for sure.

Edit: it's probably the combination of cedar, patchouli and Vetiver that accounts for their likeness

YSL L'Homme was quite generic when I tried it on the paper stick. Its supposed to have Ginger and Spices among other notes but I didn't get anything special from it. Just another 'nice' fragrance. However, I will do a three spray test on skin and clothes for a full wearing before I decide if it is bottle worthy to me or not.
YSL La Nuit De L'Homme also has quite a following and I get the barbershop feel, quite powdery from it. Again, a full wearing is on the cards before deciding to buy or not.

L'homme quite generic. not offensive or repulsive. smells sweet. i like to use it as after gym or after training scent. feels good.

La Nuit. nice scent overall. not very versatile. mainly night or cooler climate scent. you will not get away wearing this when its scorching hot. not just its quite repulsive. you'll also suffocate everyone around you.

encre noire. i will only wear this when im meeting the president or any high caliber people. or maybe in a suit and tie event. this scent exudes power. "Im the Boss mutherf*ckers"

I use almost the entire family of Tabac products. Not for everyone noses.

Soap Bar - performs similar to Imperial Leather but with Tabac scent. Expensive
Shaving Soap - excellent shave with this everytime
Aftershave - Same as EDC but last a very short while, stings the skin
EDC - Same as Aftershave but last longer. The classic Tabac scent. Only someone close to you can smell. Will not spread far.
EDT - different from EDC very heavy, scent travels a bit of distance and lasts for many many hours
