Hello all! I’m interested in DUN frames, anyone knows where I can get them in Sg? Thanks!

Go to Spectacle Culture. Love their services. My first spec with them was DUN. I stopped going coz now got a lot of commitments so don’t want to spend $500 or more for a frame.
Very friendly husband and Wife. They even send you yearly check up sms reminder.

Good afternoon, tbh... all glasses depend on your own handling. It might be very tough(frame) but if we roll over/lie on it also will break. But if you wanna give Lindberg a go and a durable series, I recommend you take a look at their RIM series. It can be manipulated and take quite abit of stress. Might have some YouTube video on it too. My DP is my own Lindberg RIM too, the colours can be customised. Haven seen one break yet as compared to their other series..

I think the point which is most fragile for frameless is the hinges. Lindberg in general doesn’t have screw so that reduces the possibility of the temple breaking/rust. Next the mounting e.g. fitting the temple into lenses is mount by special glue that reacts to UV instead of filling it with a washer/pin that breaks easier. But of course with such quality, it comes with a price.. that’s why you pay that amount for a pair of Lindberg.

But in general most frameless glasses are light, differences probably felt through the nose bridge sitting, the size of the Temples and the material!

if you dont wish to pay such a high price you can just go for frames at a lower tier price range. some might be as durable as lindberg but don't have the name/brand hence you pay a lower price. = more comfortabe for your wallet , not so heart pain if it does break :)

Hi Bro, most big brands offer lenses with blue block features. These lenses are good to block HEV light up to 30%.

I'ld suggest you to ask around for Asahi 1.74 Photochromic SV lenses instead.

It filters up to 94% HEV and turns dark when in contact with sun's UV light

a) Photochromic ✔️
- Quick fade back
- Clear during indoors
b) High index 1.67 plastic ✔️(1.74 index)
c) Single vision ✔️
d) blue light filter / PC lens ✔️(94% filter)
e) anti-reflective/ glare✔️
f) impact resistant

Blue Filter demo:
Thank you for your reply.
After doing some reading, I think I need those computer lens too.

dont get me wrong. i know alot of people here can pay premium, but i am just offering a less costly alternative :)
but in all honesty. if you wear the same frame everyday, for abt 3 years... about time to go for a new look also :D

haha if you ask me i dont really like ic berlin. nothing special (imo) just my opinion.
lindberg got class/simple/safe - classic models.
if i were to recommend i would say go for something abit more fashionable so people notice you glasses abit more... afterall you paying a pretty high price along with the lens.
so instead of just having a pair of glasses to see, why not double up as a fashion accessory ;) of course you must be comfortable with the choice of frame

You should choose a good optician who can give you goid advices rather than choose brands. Cos a good optician will tell you whats suitable for you and once he knows your taste preferences/character he can advice you whether the frames you like suits you or not. Good optician can help you save your $ and heartpains.

Like you said, unless you have sharp facial features like tom cruise, probably icberlin might not suit you. For me my face is big and squarish so icberlin slip down my face easily even after adjustments. Lens thickness weight play a part as well. My lenses are thicker heavier so icberlin frame structure too thin cant support the weight of my lenses.

If you are concern about fitting, japanese brands will fit asian features better, eg. Dun, Spivvy, Japonism, 999.9 etc.

Whether icberlin or lindberg both are readily recognisable frames imo. I can tell these frames easily when ple wear. Icberlin because of the hinges easily noticeable and lindberg as well. Also their nosepad shapes are also special different from other brands. As well as the rear temple tips. Lindberg rear tips can be bent downwards while icberlin is straight cant bend down only bend inwards. So maybe u can say lindberg frames can fit better. But if not wrong lindberg side temples are quite straight whilst icberlin side temples curve slightly.

Dont see alot of differences between these 2 brands. One germany brand. One denmark brand. Both have special hinges, lightweight and similar qualities imo.

For me i found out the best method to get "new" looks. I will make 3-4 pairs of the best frames i love and rotate wearing them, maybe rotate in between a few months so that once i got the tired feeling i rotate and can get the "new" look all the time. Works for me. So now i dont make new frames every year and waste them.

Hi Seannie,

You ideas is interesting. I do like Lindbergh and wish I could have such a deep pocket as a pair of Lindbergh with progressive lens already set me 4 digits, 3-4 pairs are indeed a luxury. I only can afford the entry level of Lindberg. Haa.

For me i have chosen my 4 pairs of best quality specs that i like and they have lasted me for years. My optician told me a good quality frame can last 5-10yrs depending how u use and take care of your spec.
