Hello Gangsterkia!

I am looking at purchasing a full plastic frame (i.e., the bridge is also plastic) - But I have a pretty broad/ squarish face - would Yellows Plus be a good choice? I am looking in particular at the Yellows Plus Billie.

Also, I am in the 30-35 age range and I look at the computer quite frequently. My prescription is

R (SPH: -7.50, CYL: -1.25)
L (SPH: -5.50, CYL: -1.75)

I am looking at the thinnest lenses possible (which I assume is 1.75)

Do you have a brand for lenses to recommend and how much is the recommended price! Also should I get blue coating!

The thinnest plastic index I believe is 1.76 from Tokai.
Since you do intermediate(computer) work for Long hours, I suggest getting the digital lenses.
So Brands like
1)hoya sync 3(now for free upgrade promo to sync 3 pro)
2)Zeiss digital lenses
3)Essilor crizal Eyezen
All 3 Brands has 1.74 index thus you can consider them. I will get back to you on RRP later. Getting the blue light coating is good as it reduces the glare coming from the devices you use.

Essilor crizal Eyezen 560 for bluecap
+80 for prevencia(more yellow)

Zeiss digital lenses 1.74 (no blue for now)-660

Please can you recommend a good pair of general progressive lenses that can give me reasonably good field of vision when looking at a laptop, which is connected to an external 19” computer monitor (top of monitor is at my eye level). I need to do a lot of computer work for 8-10 hours a day. My eyes prescription as follows.

R (SPH: -1.00, CYL: -0.50)
L (SPH: -0.00, CYL: -0.25)
Near Add: +1.50

What lens index will be suitable for my prescription?

Should I request to add on any features to the lenses - UV coating? Multi-coating? Blue light filter? (Or do they come as standard default?)

Any good lens models from Hoya / Zeiss / Shamir that can serve my purpose well? Please advise their RRP too if you can.

Before I can further advice you, can I ask if you worn progressives before?

Also if you prefer United square, I would strongly suggest precision optics.

I would suggest, Hoya lifestyle 3 onwards. Mystyle profile, mystyle v+. They have wide intermediate range(not as much as office lens) but still comfortable enough.

Myself cnt be 680. It’s Hoya top of the top tier lenses.
Also not every shop is able to sell myself lenses. Maybe if mystyle profile still possible. I believe either they quote wrongly or maybe it’s miscomm.

I would go with mystyle profile or lifestyle 3.

Is this normal?
If i were to get a good frames + lens at around 400, is it within budget?

If you don’t like the yellowish hue, you can look towards Essilor crizal bluecapture lenses or Shamir blue zero.

hoya blue control is still abit yellowish but owndays by far is the most.

Within 200.. your astig is -3.50? Or your myopia for right and left eye is -2 and -3 respectively?
