My personal opinion is that
1)I prefer my eyes to be natural.
2)I do not wish to experience glare/halo at night nor risk having dry eyes.
3)If I correct my vision now, and my presbyopia comes, I still need glasses.
4)I do not wish to do any compensation on one eye. E.g. one eye perfect And the other eye with some residual power.
5)I treat glasses as an fashion accessory.
6)I do not want to have a risk of post-refractive surgery complication.

***take note again, it’s just my personal opinion. I did consider doing but I calculated the pros and cons and I prefer to not do it. Drys eyes is heng suay, glare and halo is depending on how tolerant you are.

Do all retailers sell similar price for Hoya/crizal.

For such prescription, the I believe your focus is to have a sharper vision. Normal lenses does the job but having a branded lenses increases the durability of the lens multicoating.
Based on your prescription it cost probably about 140 onwards..

You are right, it’s not exactly getting rid of it but compensating the prescription. So they will correct your eyes and purposely leave a residual prescription so when your presbyopia sets in or if it increases, you can still manage.
depending on your level of expectation snd management, some can appreciate it without reading glasses whereas others still wears glasses after.

Thanks to GangsterKia recommendation. I made a Linberg Thintanium series frame with Hoya lenses at Eyewear Thomson Plaza. It is comfortable and the staff are friendly and good service.
The frame is surprisingly lighter than my current half frame Oakley Lizard frame which is already very light.

Just went to visit a few spectacles shop today to get a sense of the pricing (KJ Opt, Capitol Opt). Anyone knows why some shops dont seem to offer the Essilor multipair offer of 50% off 2nd pair of lens even though they carry essilor lens?

Currently looking at Zeiss stock lens 1.6 with blue light protection ($215) versus the Essilor crizal sapphire 1.6 with blue capture ($220). With the 50% off 2nd pair offer, it's much cheaper to get the Essilor lens since I am looking to replace my lens on 2 pairs of spectacles. Is there a significant quality difference between these 2 lens? Earlier posts seem to suggest that Zeiss lens typically provide better clarity, but does this apply to the lower end lens for these brands as well?

Appreciate any insights on these, thanks!

It is possible that they are not an islandwide promotion and limited to certain retail practices. Or just that the practice do not want to sell certain Brand’s for their own reasons.
It could be cheaper but there are pros and cons based on the feedbacks you see here too.

hi all, I'm a noob when it comes to all these glasses things, but I just got a pair of Zeiss Digital Lens 1.6 for 450, not sure if that is an okay price? Just to add, I have astig in both eyes.

Thanks for the insight into mykita... looking at online prices for mykita, they seem to be in the same price range as lindbergs and IC berlins, would have expected it to be similar durability. will take this into account when deciding on the frames.

Mykita's hinge is awful. Very poor durability. My hinge got loose and broke when optician tried to tighten it back. He warned me it might break, because it happened to other customers, and sure enough it did. IC Berlin is much better. I have both frames. Like you, i expected mykita to be as durable as ic berlin. Far from it. When you open/close the mykita frame arms, you can feel how rough the action is. Have to pay a lot for the replacement arms also, really lame.
