Progressive is definitely the best option. Only question is which type of progressive lenses suits your prescription/ frame/ daily visual task & habits.

PMed link to a quick 1 min read up on the types of progressive lenses available (Basic, Premium, Office, Indoor-Hybrid, Customised) 🙏
Can send me the info. Thank u

Thanks man. Saw your DM.
I have also done some research and asking around since then, it seems like for my 800+ degree and 100-200+ astig, the lens itself will like cost around 400-500 min. not including frame yet.
On the other hand, i saw that Owndays have frames going for 78 + 198 for lens. Seems like half the cost.
Need some advice here, is it worth it to get an expensive prescription sunglass which i will only wear when I'm outdoors in the sun, which is not everyday given I do wfh half the time? I can understand paying that much for a everyday specs or progressive lens, but not sure if i should just go budget Owndays for prescription sunglasses, since i'm also limited to the types of frames i can go for...
I using Zeiss branded lens for my progressive lens.. and is for my daily use.. money well spend I consider ..

Omg, I bought from capitol optical. They showed me on their tablet the price listing is 600+. I really feel like going back and ask how come price so high.

Maybe they sold you the customised ones? usually not necessary unless your eyes are super sensitive. What's the previous lenses you're using?

Ok, I checked with them. They sold me the Digital Smartlife one, therefore it's expensive. I think my previous one is clearview.

Hi! Mvision lenses are made in Singapore using the same machine as Zeiss.
They are the local authorised agents processing lenses for Asahi Lite & tokai.

Our side tend to use their lenses alot as they support customisation. Almost every single pair of progressive lenses for our clients are customised
Hi,
I would like to find out more about this customization service.
Please PM me your shop info.
Thanks.

hi yall! I just purchased a frame + Zeiss Digital Smartlife lens and collected. Find it weird that they did not give the lens certification card. Isn't this the best way to know that we're getting the lens we paid for?

Zeiss lenses usually comes with a card + cloth in a PVC pouch. might want to check with the shop again

thanks! yea it was a different experience vs the previous shop that I gotten my specs from, where they gave the card and specs cloth.

Checked with the shop and they said may have forgotten to print it, and just showed the Zeiss imprint on the lens as 'proof'. But they will check and get back (which I don't think will happen hmm)

I suggest you drop by the shop you saw Mvision. Not really feasible to state all the prices.

Mvision provide a pretty extensive range of lenses:

Material:
Photochromic (Transition / Photogrey)
Blue absorb (Lutina / Asahi Lite)
Blue absorb + Photochromic (Photogrey)
Polarized
Drivewear transition

Lens Coating:
Zapphire
Nano-Blue
*Mirror
*LRC (Ultra low reflection Coat)

Progressive Design:
Basic
Premium
Office
*Indoor-Hybrid
*Customized Basic
*Customized Premium

Good thing about them is i can mix & match like subway. No restriction like other bigger companies.
(E.g. Blue absorb + Photochromic for a certain range only)
Choose 1 Material, 1 Lens coating, 1 progressive design.

*Only available to selected Mvision retailers
For the progressive lenses, can 1.74 ultra thin and transition? If so, how much?

Yup 1.74 transition can be done across all Mvision progressive lenses (Basic/Premium/Customized | Max up to -22.00Ds)

However, Essilor offers 1.74 transition for their Varilux X series only.

PMed you 🙏

How does the Myvision compare to Hoya Lifestyle v+?

Mvision has lenses that are compatible with the different tiers from Zeiss/ Hoya/ Essilor, but will require some changes to the settings to make the switchover more seamless.
Customers that we've converted couldn't tell the difference between a Mvision lens from Zeiss/ Hoya/ Essilor.
