Does PC lense really make a difference? Will there be a colour difference while seeing through a normal lense and the PC lense?

Giving my 2 piece about bluelight filter lenses ( as they are very popular now):

Lenses with a blue light filter ( many different brands in the market) are excellent for people who look at handphones and tablets a lot. If you look at current research now, which confirm prolonged harmful blue light exposure is bad for our eyes, this would mean our eyes are getting "suntanned" by our phone& tablet usage ( probably even worse than computers because we hold our handphones so close to our eyes).

all lenses with blue filter will block out blue light to a certain degree ( depends on brand) and the vision through these lenses will seem " warmer" and slightly yellowish( which actually improve contrast). There will also be a cosmetically visible blue reflection when you see at the lenses.

to summarise:
Pros: Enhanced contrast and visual comfort when looking at digital screens - If you are a tech nerd, these lenses are definitely for you.
If you are a moderate user, you will still benefit from these lenses.

cons:slight yellowish tint when looking thru the lens, visible blue reflection off the lenses.

Hi i have no prior knowledge much about glasses.
My current glasses are made for army and its about 3 to 4 years old and recently the scratch got pretty bad on the my left lens (my dominant eye).
I always wanted to try out owndays by myself by would like to seek more advice and info first.
I have more than 500 degrees for both astigmatism and myopia.
Also, what kind of frames/lens should i pick for round face?

What's a good shop to go to design like the ic berlin?

Near Toapayoh or Sengkang?

So far I only read of sin chew and kwongshin with raving reviews.

Budget is $700 max.

L 350
R 425

Not sure if have astig. Because I went for 10 astig lens and felt blur, replaced the lens at owndays for $50 to remove the astig. Still not clear.

Lenses would have to be a 1.6 index and above at least to minimise thickness.
Frame prolly something more angular and not too wide if possible as the wider the frame is the thicker the lens will be. Unless no choice if have a slightly larger face then have to get a frame to fit the face to minimise pressure at the side.
Frame material plastic/metal shouldn't be an issue.
Hope this helps!

Go to the ones with raving reviews usually won't go wrong.. will feel safer also. 10 astig lenses? You mean the axis? E.g direction or do you mean 1.00D of astig?

Generally helps to reduce glare from screens e.g mobile devices, pc, screens. Colour difference yes. It be warmer/yellowish through the pc lens as compared to clear lenses. If your job requires you to have detailed Colour differentiation skills then perhaps it Might not be the choice for you.

Prevencia coating is more purplish compared to Hoya blue control. Comfort wise always got 2 factions.
You can ask for stellify lenses. Cheaper and also reliable. Hope this helps!

Any difference between Hoya blue control and Crizal prevencia? Been using only Tokai blue control so far so good and was quoted $130 for Crizal today. Hoya was slightly more expensive if I remember correctly

350 both side astigmatism around 100

Oh you can come down to eyewear optics at Thomson Plaza(central) or maybe jamco at Katong mall(east)? Both quite good with their prices for lindberg.

Your shop is at eyewear optics thompson plaza? Thats a deserted place man and starting to get run down. Aircon wasnt working that last time i went there. Wouldnt think thats a great place. I mean thomson plaza.

Do spectacle shops in Singapore have tint tanks? Never see before. Some have edging machines but seems like most send to lab for tinting

Highly doubt so...usually sent to labs to tint..

Actually tinting is just using a hot pot of water and dye essentially, how come spectacle shops here unlike those in US, where if they have edging machine, most likely they have tint tanks as well
