Mykita's hinge is awful. Very poor durability. My hinge got loose and broke when optician tried to tighten it back. He warned me it might break, because it happened to other customers, and sure enough it did. IC Berlin is much better. I have both frames. Like you, i expected mykita to be as durable as ic berlin. Far from it. When you open/close the mykita frame arms, you can feel how rough the action is. Have to pay a lot for the replacement arms also, really lame.

wow... that sounds really bad.

mind sharing how long did you own mykita for, before it failed you?

Possible to share what the expected price for each should be?

sorry disturb again, my friend paid $520 for " sync 3 pro,1.60index sensity grey with an add of +0.57." is this a reasonable price?

Additionally, is UV protection a default coating for Hoya or is it something that needs to be specified to be added? asking cos the above don't not seem to indicate a UV protection coating.

I just my specs and I think it's the normal digital lens 1.6 with Duravision BlueProtect UV. My frame is from GoGH.

In total it cost me 800. 450 for lens and 350 for frame.

Not sure if the price is okay?

I just want to see if I need to find another optician shop to buy from.

Hoya sync 3 w/full control
Crizal eyezen
Zeiss digital lenses

200 for progressive lenses… usually the quality/comfort that comes with such price is really hard to accept for many individuals. There are such lenses but… at your own risk.

Is not wearing correct glasses the main cause of digital eye strain?
Are there other factors like improper or insufficient lightning.
Not using a high refresh rate/high resolution monitor the cause for eye strain? For example, when I changed to a higher refresh rate phone, my eye strain significantly reduced.
Or improper diet?
Can an optometrist address this issue from another angle?

"According to a trial published in February 2021 in the American Journal of Ophthalmology, blue light glasses worn during a two-hour computer task did not change eyestrain symptoms whatsoever. And another small study, published January 2019 in Optometry and Vision Science, found that even though a blue-blocking filter used on a computer screen blocked 99 percent of wavelengths between 400 and 500 nanometers, it didn’t alleviate digital eyestrain symptoms any more effectively than a neutral filter."

I see, may I have a rough quote, LHS 375, RHS 650, astig 125.
Mainly for indoor usage, high level of computer tablet usage.
Also quite prone to headaches.
