thanks! I'll check them out. I was trying to decipher the differences between Thintanium and Air Titanium Rim. I prefer a very light frame that almost feel weightless on the face..

That would be air titanium rim. Thintanium still has some extra parts that adds to the aesthetic of the frame as compared to the ATR which is purely just titanium pieces.

Thintanium is the newest series for now.
It will be within the range of 800+
Myself, I have a buffalo horn, N.O.W, ATR.
Probably getting a thintanium next. Will customise the colour too.
Really comfortable brand..but partly I put importance on eyewear so I can bear to invest in that price too.

Based on your power…
Minimally a 1.6 index(thickness) would be recommended thus… 400 onwards..

Hi all, thanks for the forum posts, it had been very informative!

I would like to ask is it possible to have both transition and blue light lens on same spec? I have outdoor works regularly and my eyes are sensitive to bright light both outdoors and when using electronic devices.

I have myopia and astigmatism but i cant remember what are the degrees as i havent checked in almost five years, but recently i suspect my myopia worsened because i worked on office stuff a lot last month, and this week i noticed my eyes feel very tired when switching from looking near to far and vice versa. The discomfort is in the sense that i dont even want to open eyes at all, dont want to look at handphone, and even large monitor screen is just barely tolerable.

At this point i am using Crizal transition lens for outdoor use, and Ownday lens for indoor use. I am thinking of having an eye check up, and if the lens dont match myopia degrees anymore, to have a pair of outdoor specs with both transition and blue light protection, and a pair of indoor specs with just blue light protection. How much will this likely cost?

I browsed through the past 20-30+ pages and saw that one of the recommended optometrist in west is the Eye Zone Optical @ Teck Whye, are there any other recommendations at west?

Those are the precious series Horn. More unique as you mentioned got gold on the horn frame. Haha.. some got diamond also..
But not my cup of tea. I am contented with just the frame front being horn.

I kaypo a bit. Yes, it takes 3-4 weeks for customisation at Lindberg(??). Definitely not at the optical shop. Horn is also "slightly" heavier that Thintanium. Hope it helps? Thanks.

A pair of Japanese 1.60 index basic progressive for deskbound work is around $280.
Depending on your visual requirement, you can choose to top up & upgrade to the following:
- Wider Angle
- Blue Absorb
- Transitions
- Blue Absorb + Photochromic

Do you mean Progressive + Photochromic (Color changing) + Blue Absorb lenses? Asahi Lite lenses have these lenses. It is available at Eye Zone Optical @ Teck Whye.
* Do note that Photochromic + Blue Absorb lenses would not turn as dark as the brand Transitions

If your eyes feel very tired when switching from near to far and vice versa, It could be either Presbyopia or decompensated phoria (Eye Misalignment).
