Hi, I have similar concerns as you. (I have not made any yet either)
But researching and watching some YouTube videos, it seems that it's all about different tradeoffs. (There's no one perfect pair of progressives, especially with modern high usage of digital devices)

Which is why I mentioned about eventually (e.g. when my Add progresses to closer to +2.00) needed 2 pair, one normal progressives for walk about and short duration usage of intermediate/near. And one for task specific, which is different for different users.

I found these videos very helpful in getting a better understanding this "tool" called progressive lenses. (IMO it's a tool just like the computer we use, some of us like to actually understand what's going on with the tool.)

I watched that video also. I am learning at the same time tried to talk to different people, or optician, try to understand more.

Always good to start early when your Presbyopia is still quite low, adapts faster to the distortion as it increases in future

I realise a pair of specs with transition lens cost about $400 to $500 at Owndays.

I believe all brands are able to do office lenses with transition. But office lenses distance viewing is not good. any reason why you need to wear office lenses out in the sun?

I just make a pair of office lenses from Zeiss. The shop I went to told me no transition for office lenses. But I remember reading here that there is.

Oops. my bad🫣. Essilor, Zeiss & Hoya can only choose from what's in the book. Only Tokai & Asahi can customize the lens material

I just made a pair of expensive glasses, and i did some research after and realized that the MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) for the frames i bought were $200 less than what i was quoted. I'm unsure about the lenses but i assume there might be a similar mark up as well - should i consider this an acceptable mark up on the optical chain's end?

You were quoted $200 more than the MSRP or were you given a $200 discount from the MSRP

my right eye is my dominant eye.
The new optometrist A measured my left eye 250 right eye 300 degrees.
I'm currently wearin 225 and 275.

The right eye is clear enough with 275, so optometrist A suggest stay with 275.
But left eye is slightly blur. If i raise to 250, i remember i don't feel comfortable previously and i once request remain back as 225.

The optometrist A told me if stay with 225 may cause lazy eyes and suggest stick to 250.

My previous optometrist B told me the less dominant eye less power maybe good for close view that's why she suggest go back to 225.
I scare the giddy or funny feelings come back, or will it go away?
