how to avoid plastic frames from expanding?
all my plastic frames expand outwards.

what u mean by expanding?? u mean temples beside yr head started to get loose?.. u can use hair dryer to heat up the plastic joint above yr nose that part and bent the inward..

btw when u get a good frame the temples should not exert pressure on yr head.. it should "hug" ard yr skull for comfort

The temple rubber (ear socks) breaking easily is the main reason when I am not using Oakleys. The prescriptive frames used to have a lifetime warranty for the ear socks and the nose pads. Now, no more such warranty already.

No way to avoid. Sad but true YOLO truths.

Get titanium frames can last longer without much expansion. This is due to material properties.

$500+++. Sheldrake I last checked is $550. Varies from shop to shop and location of shop. There's a new shop at Marina Sq that stocks them. Went there the other day to check them out. Seems to be priced fairly.

I'm not an expert at identifying frames, but they look like either Fairmont or O'malley RX. But nowadays, so many brands are making similar frames. So it could be from anywhere. I feel that the specs he wore looked a little too expensive for his financial situation to be honest. When I saw it, I immediately thought it didn't make any sense. Just like what I thought of the entire movie... BAD.

I did not read through previous posts, so I can't be sure. The $550 quote was from another shop.

I didn't pay much attention to the Marina Sq shop at first because it looks like a pop up shop! Wasn't expecting anything fancy or upmarket in there. It was only after I walked by and saw the brands 'Oliver People' and 'Paul Smith' that made me want to go check it out. I was looking for NDG at that time, but I'm holding off my purchase. Too many glasses. IIRC, they seem to have most models available. The staff wasn't familiar with the models though. I had to tell him which pair is NDG lol!

I have brand preferences, so I didn't notice anything else.

I am also looking for Oliver People (Gregory pack). Any recommendation of where to look for such brand.

Just read on the earlier post and came to know Marina Sq has Oliver People. Anywhere else I could shop?

Thanks

I got my Sheldrake from Paragon. I know there are some Oliver People frames at Holland V as well.

What's the price range for oliver peoples? Seen alot of inspired brands around in the market. But I believe that quality is very different.

Hi guys. Does shop like spectacle hut offer lens cleaning service or something? There's hairspray on my lens, doesn't affect vision but when taken off, can see tiny specks of "glitter" on lens surface

Hello all, will like to seek the advice of the experts here. The degree of my specs is around 600 and astig is around 200. Will I be required to purchase a 1.74 lense or will 1.67 be sufficient? What would be the price range? I probably will head to queensway to take a look and of course hope to hear from you guys first ... ...

I'm clearing my wardrobe. Plenty of normal to luxury jeans for sale. Guess, William Rast and Habitual. Check my carousell or my threads.

okay, back to specs.

I don't know if anybody will suggest the same, but I think it will be cheaper to go JB to do your zeiss lenses. My friend goes to this shop at Pelangi Plaza.

yes, its cheaper in Malaysia. like 15-30%.
