Just got my glasses with Zeiss Superb 1.67 + Blueprotect + iScription. Previously was wearing a pair of Zeiss (Clarity?) 1.67 Photofusion (around 2 years old). Interestingly both spec prescriptions are the same, only 1-3 degree difference in the astig axis. So it's a pretty good base to do a A/B comparison.
On initial thoughts, the Superb is discernibly more crisp and I find it easier to focus. But I'm not sure what's the variable here (a more accurate axis measurement?). There is less chromatic aberration (e.g. colour fringing) and linear distortion in the periphery areas. Colour rendition i can't compare since there's some yellowing on my old glasses.
Am a amateur photographer, so these things are noticeable to me. However, not sure if everyone will notice these improvements. On pricing, adjusting for the different "add-ons", I think the Superb is around 60-70% more expensive than the standard Clarity lenses.
Still yet to see the effects of iScription, but the optometrist did advise that iScription would be significantly beneficial for night vision, and for wearers with high astig/post Lasik problems. But I tried it anyway, not much incremental cost to the lens price. Will share more as I go along.
As for Blueprotect, too early to say. Will need to evaluate more.
