Just back from Oakley svc centre.
Recently found my Straight Line lying in a corner in my wardrobe and decided to give it a new life
Bought in March'06, the rubber socks have worn off pretty badly and the temple pads are kinda yellow.
I got my pair from Capitol Optical but when I called them to enquire about replacing the socks and pads, they actually quoted me 30 bucks for replacement
Called Larrikin and they said that as long as I have a valid warranty card and proof of purchase from authorized dealers, they will be able to provide replacements FOC, for an unlimited number of times in the future.
For those who are confused with the warranty terms, I believe the 1-year warranty applies to 1-to-1 exchange of defective lenses and frames. Once the period lapses, you would not be able to replace the whole frame or lenses anymore.
Went down to SIS Building, No. 4 Leng Kee Road, just a short walk from Redhill MRT in the late afternoon to have them replaced. Fast service, got it back on the spot after 10 mins, as good as new.
Thumbs up to Larrikin!!!
