Agreed with evets' comments. Tag reflex is very comfortable when worn around my face. And like evets said, as long as under warranty you will be fine. After that, the cost of just the rubber alone can buy Oakley already :s13:

u all so crazy to buy so ex specs ah? haha

Haha, yeah eyewear is very ex in Singapore. If you have worn specs for years you will understand. For me specs is part of my face and worn daily, almost all the time. Which is why I invest a lot in my eyewear collection.

u need to check with the optical shop, cause it depends on what is the damage...if u are replacing ur temple, the duration also subject to availability of the temple....i forgot how long i have to wait the other time i sent in to replace my temple...maybe about 3 - 4 weeks or shorter...2 years is standard for most if not all tag heuers eye wears. it will come with a warranty card.

being owner of 3 tag eye wears (2 reflex and 1 track), let me share my experience ... like all glasses, wear and tear is inevitable.. and average life span for my tag is about 2 years.. before i start looking for a newer model. ...
usually the first couple of months, i treat the tag spec with care, after that i wear it for sports hence all the sweat and perspiration will cause the rubber to be sticky and accelerate the wear and tear ...

so how long the spec will last you will eventually depends on how you take care of it.

i do agree that the wire inside the temples will snap due to excessive bending ..the good thing is that there is 2 years warranty so you can always bring it back to the optical shop to get them to send it back to the distributor to get it replace. mind u, its aint cheap once the warranty is over, one pair of the temples will cost around $280!! that is as good as making a new pair of glasses!

why i like tag, reason being that the flexible temple do not give me headache like other brands of eyewear....hence i been making tag ever since i got it 5 years ago..on and off i still make other brands like japonism, hugo, D&G, oakley ...but tag is still my first choice daily wear!

my first pair is still wearable, the second one is chiu...and the third one i just got it like 3 months back.

although there are those wanna-be brand in the mkt nowadays but tag is currently still my preferred choice. U gotta give them the credit to come up with such avant garde design then..:s7:

okok...noted....thanks...most probably getting a track ba with half frame and black... Any places u would recommend where the price is quite good? Wha lens are u using with your tag? the shops i went to recommend essilor poly carbonate one...

question for track owners, how should I clean the part of the lens near the joint? the part around the screws are quite inaccessible for my cleaning cloth and there's some dirt build up around that area after a few months of usage.

i got my tags at universal optical at tampines....they are quite firm about the price as they said that its controlled like oakley....basket....hence usually the discount is on the lens.

mine is some essilor brand...btw i think the reflex is now considered an obsolete model liao...dont see it anymore at tagheuer website!

honestly i dont know what brand is my lens...some ulu ulu brands....but good enuff to ne used for my rimless track....i usually dont go for high end lens cause my degree is quite light...

anyway i think the reflex is considered old model liao...dont see it anymore at tagheuer website!

Hahhaha i went to afew shop and yes they also say the price is control but the prices actually varies for different shop from $770(frame + lens) to $800+++(frame $720 with 10% disc + lens 160-180) both are of the same track frame and also the same kind lens....

although reflex is older model but the design for track n reflex some of it look similar jus maybe the material use abit different ba...

today saw the L-type frame the price like 3k+++ i tot i see wrongly...haha

yea I also find only the reflex tag heuer is nice, the rest not really. Although I don't have much luck with Tag, I broke my reflex, my gf lost her Zenith I gave. :(

I am wearing Staffan Preutz Infinity now, the lightest eyewear I ever had.

Yes yes, thats the one!! The frame itself costs 300-400+ alrd.

And if i'm not wrong, its still one of the lightest frames man has ever came up with. But the weight is only in the lenses =.=

yep it is very light, when my fren hold it, he said it feels like a toy. The thickness is like 2 pieces of A4 paper. Doesn't mean it is not strong, it is made of NXT which is virtually indestructible. And it is transparent, I love transparent.

Shop at chinatown point quoted me $620 for rimless and non-branded poly carbonate.

I don't see why essilor is good, they only recommend it because their commission for those is higher.

I was quoted $180 just for the lenses. Is it expensive?
