Yes. Hoya lens are very good. Better than Esscilor imo, though Crizal is also not bad.

Whats the price of then lens? Hoya lens is good.

hey hey...

I was quoted 430 for lens + frames. But I pestered the sales lady for more discounts, and she only offered further discounts upon nets/cash payment, credit card dun have. End up she reduce price to 410 on cash payment after discounts.

So after deducting the cost of the frames from the discounted package price, I think the hoya lens cost abt 110, or maybe the discounts were given to the frames instead of the lens - that I dun noe liao. Is 110 an ok price for clear hoya lens (not transition lens), pls dun tell me i kana ripped off cos I went to this shop from some recommendations by the bros who posted in this thread...:s13:

$110 for hoya lens is considered cheap I guess. What frame you bought?

$110 for hoya lens depends on the index and which range. if it's their lowest mid index lens, I would say slightly on the high side. if it's 1.60 index, for their lowest range, i would say it's a good deal. There are 3 type under their 1.6 range, price can go up to $200 (recommended).

If Crizal lens is really that good, essilor don't have to spend obscene amount of money advertising and marketing their crizal lens.

Hoya lens last very long if you take care of them.

Any recommendation for the half-rim frame with matte black color, from titanium material ( because i dont want heavy frames)
Currently using tag spring rubber series. But i cant find nice half rim from tag.

Oakley Transistor

http://www.oakley.com/products/6203/22444

TH bridge too long (20mm) , and the half-rims are either too thick or too shiny for my liking.

just bought this yesterday.. is this really made of titanium? cuz the sales staff told me it's stainless steel..

Where did you buy it from?

I'm sure you wouldn't pay 400+ for a stainless steel frame...

What color, by the way?

one of the optical shops in century sq..midnight blue..

so it's titanium???

Yes, it is made from titanium, but it doesn't come in blue. Are you sure that it is a Transistor you've got there?

There are other similar-looking but cheaper, Oakley half-rims that are made from alloys and stainless steel.
