Just got my new specs! But I notice that the coating for both is slightly different. Any experts can help me to verify the authenticity? Thanks!

bro, u can try to use the greenish reflections or background illumination from light source to find whether is there any (-) logo on the lenses? that's a hoya logo by default, but sometime will be grinded off due to frame shape..

No (-). However I have send back for checking.

I send back to the shop I did my specs. Yes, they still giving out certs.

Uh they do?

Well recently I made 2 pair of specs with Seng Li with a hoya lens. However they told me that Hoya actually doesnt give out the hoya card anymore. =/

Is it because I buy the lower end lenses one?

However Seng Li say their hoya lens is the good one. So I'm not too sure. :s22:

Need help here from bros, bought an Hoya lens too however the one side slightly blurring image at certain angle. Send for replacement (but I am not sure whether the shop really did send in for new lens replacement not) collected the spec. today, lens still feel blur as before, so thus my suspicious whether the shop did really return to Hoya for replacement.

After careful inspection, I found some really fainted line, 4 of them of about the same scratch shape, anyone encounter such defect before?

You should try to go to Seng Li and give it a try. I'm satisfied with their service.

Lens wise, go for Hoya I guess? Expert on lens please chip in. :D

I can only say that you shd not have gone to that shop to do your lenses. Apparently, they are a cheat or just do not bother to check your lenses before dispensing out to you. Poor service. Even if they charge you at a lesser rate for your lens, it just isnt worth it at all. Can only say no choice, too bad, you have made a wrong call. Sad but cold hard truth. Remember to choose wisely next time. Dont just go for a shop which offers cheaper rate for the same product.

Your slightly blurred image could be many reasons. Could be wrong prescription, wrong focal point. The hairline scratches could be mishandling during edging by the lab or could be by the optical shop. Go through several hands so you cant pinpoint who is the culprit but ultimately the optical shop from which you purchase your lens should be responsible for giving you a good pair of lens at teh point of collection, no matter whose fault it was, unless the scratches are caused after you have collected them.

Hi raptor1

i just checked out Dun LC-002. Sample just arrived in sg from the local agent & scheduled to go hk soon. Retail price ard $1.3k. Fitting very good. Carbon temples very special. I have placed my order for delivery after cny. Limited collection. I heard only abt 100 odd pairs manufactured & distributed. If you are concerned abt the price, you can consider other models. I tried a few of their new models. Some are v nice & good-fitting as well.

Brought my own frames to a shop in Woodlands.

I paid $250 for Crizal Advance Transitions 1.56 index

R: 225.150 x85
L: 200.075 x120

Generic authencity certificate provided

Was the price right?

Mainly to see if i continue to patronize this shop in future.
