how much is 1.67 SFT?

think 1.67 is overkill for 100 degrees hmm

I did my Hoya SFT last year I think for around 200-220 SGD. Really good as its the second pair of Hoya SFT as I change Spec almost every 1-2 years. So far no scratches or whatever. When u wash it just blow it the water will come off by itself :s13:

Hi guys i have this Oakley wiretap for sale.
frame can fit prescriptive, transisition or shade

Letting go @100 cos i got nike frame already

you will get a oakley hardcase, end strap, screws and some stuff.
Frame is in good condition, no chip off but you need to replace the lens and nose tab

Ps: the nose tab kit for wiretap cost $30 odd bucks and you do not need the warranty card or reveiot to replace it.

Those keen feel free to whatapps me at 94753075

Well, depend whether the GOOD here, you are talking about refers to Pricing or Professional ethics...

I have my personal reservation of view regarding QWS shops, no doubt there are definitely honest business owners, but the bad ones are just too many...{ POV base on the feedback that i have heard from my own patient's]

Second legionzsgoh comments. Their service may seemed friendly but when it comes to accepting your purchase, you have to try very hard to make sure you are getting what you paid for. Get all the authenticity cards, invoices and etc. For my case, i learnt my lesson. Did not receive my Zeiss lens authenticity cards from that shop. Had another bad experience with another shop at QWS (name starting with W*) a few years ago.

And try not to depend on them to get your lens axis correctly. Can consider spending $5 at SP's optometry centre to check your degree, astig, axis and etc.

Hi!

I'm thinking of getting a pair of new spectacles. Currently wearing a black plastic Paul Smith Japan-made pair bought from Kwong Shin almost 3 years ago.

I saw a very nice handmade pair by Yoichi Sasaki when I went to Fukuoka last year. It's called the Y-11 BK. Regrettably, I didn't buy it as it was my last day there, and I couldn't make up my mind.

Can't post any links cos I'm new here, but it can be found if you google "與市 よいち y-11 bk"

Now that I want to buy it, I realised it's not sold anywhere online.

Anyone knows if any shop in Singapore may carry the brand, or those in the same tier?

SP optom students can check your degree, astig and axis etc but do you expect the students at SP optometry to troubleshoot what is wrong with your glasses? I can tell you their standard not there yet.

If u did not request for specific Hoya lens, most likely Seng Li will be giving u Hoya 1.6 HVP.

If u want better grade, u have to tell them u want Hoya 1.67 SFT. SFT coating is better, but unfortunately, it does not come in 1.6.

are you sure Hoya 1.6 index dont have SFT coating ? who told you that ?

Give them a chance to learn. Anyway, their findings are still verified by the lecturer after that, who will test you also.

Troubleshooting can be done until you are satisfied no matter in SP or anywhere. Even outside retail sometimes also end up with poor fit, wrong RX, and failure to troubleshoot. The problem with SP is that pricing for glasses and lens is not so good and variety limited, but their eye test is more thorough than most optical shops.

I'm wearing the Y-10. :D Big mistake for you bro. When you have the chance to hoot the works of one of Japan's top 5 independent frame making master, you must not hesitate .....

Haha I wished I knew back then. I stumbled into the shop and just tried some out. There were quite a few other handmade brands, all around the same price range (all with accompanying black and white mini posters of the masters at work), but the Y-11 looked best on me. Dammit! Maybe I have to go back to Fukuoka again...

About end 2011 or early 2012 when I made my spec. Some bro also posted before that Hoya only have HVP for stock single vision lens.

http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/67749455-post6395.html

Good to know now Hoya have 1.6 SFT for single vision lens. Can save me some $ for making my next spec as my degree only 100+, no need for 1.67. Which range of Hoya for 1.6 SFT?

:D

Totally agree....

End of the day, at Institutions, their purpose is to get the Examination done properly.. and if the optical shop outside that sell that person a pair of spectacles that are not nicely done up.. even if u bring back to the SP, u can't expect them to change the product for you as u didnt purchase from them.

What one could do is to get the proper result from SP, and request for the optical shop to follow accordingly...

Appreciate some expert advice from the seniors here.

For the following prescription, is it true that the optician will usually ignore the astig as there is no astig lens with -0.25 since the minimum is -0.5?

R: -1.00, -0.25, 90
L: -1.00, -0.25, 90

For the following prescription, is there any way to make progressive lens? Or is there another way to compensate with +0.25 and -0.25? How does it work?

R: -1.00, -0.25, 90
L: -1.00, -0.25, 90
A: +1.25

Thanks
