Just for your info...

RX version of Oakley should always get LOCAL version though it cost more. Lemme tell you why, cos there is "FREE" Life time replacement for the nose pad and temple sockets rubbers only for RX version. Those earpad and socket will cost about 20 - 30 dollars if you buy them seperately. Any one who uses oakley will tell you the socket rubbers sucks big time and you need to replace them every 3 - 6 mths as they will get tear on the side with use.

strongly agree & supported,

replacement frame can be obtained easily, especially with local warranty..

Agree with ohj81. I've replaced my rubber socks countless of times. Change when there is a tear or the tips have 'enlarged'.

But this type of warranty is not applicable to the Oakley sunglasses range. The sunglasses range have a warranty for 1 year only.

You need the warranty card with the Larriken Chop and Receipt from the shop you got from to claim warrannty. Only for RX series (prescription type) then got such warranty.

grey 1 really? it's the same as mine.

initially was wearing the blue 2 tone mirror finish.. but apparently got defect, as after cleanin the frame, the mirror finish starts to fade. the boss of optic focus was kind enough to get a replacement for me.

i opted out for a mirror finish.. and chose the current grey single tone.

i can't remember i paid how much for the 1st pair.. i think close to 600 for everything, frame 400 odd and 120 for the lense. the frame is cheaper compared to a few optical shops i went to. 1 in adelphi and 1 in suntec.

but i was quoted a cheaper price for another pair. the latest design with a double temple.

i dunno whether did i pay too much, but i would say the service is good at the optical shop i mentioned earlier.

they mentioned that i would need to order early if i want to get a customised set before X'mas. the frame size and design can be customised to one preference.

Confirm this. I've visited Larrikin twice this year already.

I thought it only happened to me because I run with them on and I perspire alot and don't wipe the sweat of my spectacles. Looks like that's not the only case.

This pair costs more than $500, $670 to $770 depending on your shop locality.

I'll be VERY interested to know where you found it for $500.
