frames slide down not becos they are light but becos they have no grip. Just like swiss flex. Unless the angle of the hook at the back is steep, otherwise all will slide. Unless look for frames with rubber integrated to the ear stems they can have a better anti-slippage.

ofcos we are just paying for the "BRAND" for crizal lenses. Experienced spec wearers would know that there is not much difference in the types of lenses, only in the branding. And why pay more for the branded lenses when nobody could tell you are wearing branded or unbranded lenses, not lest yourself?! Right? Coating wise, all brands will deteriorate in time.

hey ppl,

just wondering I saw some prada spec frames in one of the neighbourhood shops near my house and i saw the "Made in Italy" fineprint on the specs. So can i safely assume those frames are really made in Italy and not China? Cos recently got ppl tok about the branded spec frames assembled in China stuff recently in this thread, and this will affect my decision really to get such branded frames or simply look for other frames.

We are paying for the tat logos on branded frames. We are just bluffing ourselves that branded are of good quality becos we pay a high price.

that is, unfortunately, a common misconception.

Hmm, not totally misconcept though, at least the embedded brand logo is definitely of good quality :D it wont drop off, chipped or discolored easily compared to other parts of the frame.

erm...i know what u mean but my question is still not answered lol :s13:
What I meant is can i safely assume that since it is printed Made In Italy, it really is made in Italy and not China? Of cos it may not make a difference to the quality of the frames, but at least if it is really assembled and made in Italy I feel better mah paying for those prada frames.

Horned rimmed? full plastics one? Or half plastic and metal?
Cheap plastic ones, go pasar-malam can buy, we're talking less than $20 here.
Half-half ones go online buy. Asos, for one, has it.

Otherwise, ask your uncles or grandparents (assuming they're still around, no offence) for them.

i got my current specs from them, upload pics later in another diff post.

You know those hipsters, they wear those 'retro' specs. So i decided to be more 'retro'.
I literally took them from my uncle. Save cost and still be 'hipstery' . :3

It was a sunglasses. Popped out the shades and in goes the prescription lenses. Tadaa~ :look:

tag heur spec frames + any recommended spec outlets in queensway shopping center

anyone knows what's the price range of tag heur spec frames?

Also, there are so many spectacle outlets in queensway shopping center. Does anyone have any recommendations on which one to go to for better pricing and service?
