Ya, anyone got pic of any cert that they give to say that the crizal is real? Every shop seems to have that same brochure that says $588 with transition and $240 for non transistion.

$200 for the frame only rite?

On seperate note, just curios any advantage for rubber frames? Tot most metal ones more durable and sturdy?

thanks for your info and ya, nike is cheaper, but not sure what material is the nosepad made of? Is it rubber or just silicone?

the frames are still made of metal la, for frames such as oakley, the inside still have a metal extension to the back, its just the surface finishing of the arms that is rubber.

I personally like rubber finishing, rather than pastic which most frames have been. becos the rubber holds the frame at the back well so it doesnt slip down from my ears even when oily (good for those with oily face). For oakley, if rubber is spoilt we can always go down to service centre to have them replaced foc. Im not so sure about nike whether they have replacements.

Agreed with Seannie. Rubber provides a better grip.

nike is using rubber nosepad

then maybe i shd try out nike frames some day and see whether the nosepad slips down on oily nose or not. I know that for oakley nosepads they are made of v soft silicon, v comfy but will slip if your nose is oily, only at the back rubber doesnt slip much.

Ya, can't get use to it initially bcos my old specs which I've been wearing for 5 years+ was 'tighter', the oakley is lighter. The 'new adjustment degree' which the guy tested for me suits me perfect. Was horrified after I wear back my old specs after few hours, was so badly scratched that my eyes got used to it, is like fwah.. what have I been missing out man...

As for the nike, ppl say the nike doesn't suit my face. I'll aim nike + crizal with transition lens next year.
