faint. i didnt noe buy spec also nee so much 研究..

actually no need to know so much becos frankly the less you know the better and you will be happier to be contented that way.

For myself i have too high expectations, so much so that people here start to think im the ultimate obsession. But nvm im ok. I dont expect people to really understand my problems with my specs.

wow stonesix,

your Dun's temple colour is striking! And it has the japanese words there at the sides. Mine dont have. In fact i dont see your colour code in the catalogue. Wonder how you get this colour. You buy it from nanyang optical?

Dun-2051...

Is there any way to check the defective lens other than telling them blur?
Because of the conflict of interest, it is very difficult to convince them while they are convincing me to adapt.

Where you buy from? Nanyang? They have the tendency to make inaccurate lenses.

You should have gone to my optician. Yes, usually hard to convince unless its really v blur. Probably u got to go to another optician, like mine, to have them checked and ascertain that the lenses are indeed problematic. By right aspherical lenses shd be darn clear even at the moment you put them on and shouldn't be due to adapting problem.

No choice lar u got to learn wiser nextime to choose optician well. Sometimes it's just pure luck

Any advise or comments?

Seannie or anyone who has similar experience, please help to share your thoughts on this.

I have a pair of charmant Rimless which I m very happy with as the nose pad is v.comfy, cos it is the adadjustable kind.

Then I bought a silhouette, But the nose pad is v uuncomfortable as it is not adjustable, a little like tag heiress kind.

Can I change the nose pad to adjustable kind? Not sure if silhouette has adjustable nose pad? If not feel like swooping the two Co's the lens on my silhouette is more ex...photofusion.

Spec. from Nanyang Optical, Causeway Point. Lens from another Optical shop which I visited looking for frame and they quoted me good price for lens, but they don't have frame that I find suitable. Thanks for your recommendation of Dun, to me, a frame: COMFORT is priority while style can be compromise.

So much so I wanted to try your optician, but they just too far for me to travel all the way down to central from northern Sg. Let me revisit them and see what they can offer to help.

maybe I am just that "heng" to have this blury lens, maybe I expect too much from Hoya.

The Dun-2051 I have is special(Ltd Ed?) colour as told by Nanyang Optical, its COL:35 and it was not listed in the catalogue. And its slightly more expensive than normal colour code.

I must praise those young chaps/gals at Nanyang Optical causeway for giving a fantastic service, helpful and patience. PS: I am not in anyway affiliated with them but its kind of hard nowadays to find good service attitude in Sg.

yes i got to say that nanyang causeway point staff are rather frendly & helpful. Most of their staff quite ok, maybe becos given good training by their boss or incentives?

Frankly although Dun is comfy, their style also not bad la. At least it looked more premium than usual specs & they are quite exclusive. There are also other brands offering comfort. I saw this brand called "Special Eyes", also looks quite good material, light & flexible. If you got the chance look out for it the nextime u shop ard.

So far hoya lens never have the blur problem for me, in fact they are rather sharp vision. I suspect its the prescription/optical/lab or some other technical issues. Choosing good optician quite important also la, other than choosing a good frame, becos no matter how good your lens brand may be, if vision blurr then really no point.

Hi guys,

Am scouting for a new pair of frames. Some background info:

- Loves acetate frames, so stuff like Takaori, Effector, Persol, Oliver people, Moscot, SALT really appeal to me
- Not very into the sleek, polished look that is defined by iCBerlin, Mykita, Tag etc.
- Prefers the lesser known brands/frames which have the old school vintage (hence my choice in effector)
- Do not have very chiseled facial feature
- Oval face shape

Current frame: Effector Delay III

I am really keen on looking at a tortoise frame, preferably in shades of brown. Any suggestions guys? Budget is below S$400 for frames alone.

Persol is a nice choice, although its quite popular. Anyone knows where can I browse them locally? Also saw Charmont ZT11773, not bad man :s12:

Would appreciate any form of advisces from the pros here, thank you!!

Hi Seannie,

Don't get me wrong, this Dun is sure good looking with sporty hint when transit into black.
I'm saying comfort is priority in searching for frame, style and others comes 2nd.
Lucky to find this Dun, which offer comfort and stylish too...the temple design resemble ic! design which I was in my radar too, try out some but unfortunately not suitable for me because of their straight temple design, and quit over my budget.

Berlin.

Hmm, actually IC!Berlin is a good frame.

Just that the size is more to european sizing, Unless the face suits.. else some people might not like it.

wa bro ic berlin so bad ar?? tot of getting one leh :D

i never said that it is so bad.

i wanna throw it away cos it doesnt fit me & its of no use to me anymore, but subaru is so keen that i got to let go to him. Probably suits him better. My face is broader so icberlin's straight temples cant seem to grip & hold well on my face.:(

Anyway, i still have another tagheuer reflex full-rimmed lying to waste at home which i also dont wear anymore. Red temples. Worn only abt 2 months still in good condition. Anyone wants it at $250? If interested got to self-collect at my office building downstairs during office/lunch hours.

Thanks to Seannie for the IC!Berlin, :s13:
Amazingly nice frame...

Simply love the color and condition of it..

ofcos la, bro, if its old & worn & torn i wouldnt be giving to you either. I only worn it for like 2 times, then the fitting is so bad on my face that i just got to let it go.

When i first bought the wasserflut i actually wanted to take black color with blue hinge but i notice a flaw with the hinge so i end up taking the second best which is gun colour. Not so bad but just got to be careful with the fingerprint smudges la.

If u like ic!berlin, you really have gotten yourself a great deal from me man! :s13:
