Anyone know about zeiss dura vision lens? My next target, was told it has purplish blue tint.


is it true transition lens hv some degree if tint when indoors? Not as see thru clear as non transition lens.

Hardly wear the frame. Bought the frame about 4 years ago (end 2007 / early 2008). Changed the lens lately. Very light and comfortable.

Hi, can anyone here advise if it's possible to make prescription sunglasses with base 8 curve, myopia about 200, astig ~50? with anti-scratch and anti fog coating, how much will it cost?

hi nystalia, i think you shouldnt worry abt the authenticity of your lens, hoya seldom cheats. The right lens definitely hoya lens due to the unique colour tone, however left side should be hoya lens too, but probably from another production batch. I notice that sometimes their batches of multi-coating lens produced at different times will reflect different colour tones. One type is the more yellow-greenish type, the other is the more blueish type. Nonetheless both are hoya lens, just that you may have gotten from mixed batches.

Dude, looking at ur target outcome of ur prescription lenses, if u just want some that merely fits ur requirements of a optical lenses that fits, approx $400. however, if u have a high expectation of vision, probably talking about $600 range where the Nikon/ TOkai range of High-Curve Lenses will benefit you

bro, u can try to use the greenish reflections or background illumination from light source to find whether is there any (-) logo on the lenses? that's a hoya logo by default, but sometime will be grinded off due to frame shape..

Most zeiss lenses have the purplish-blue-greenish reflection/tint due to it's "Lotutec" multicoated layers. its an really remarkable quality

"DuraVision Platinum" coating says to improves lens scratch resistant, dirt resistant/easier to clean and even clearer / lesser reflections compare to the current "Lotutec".

Photochromic lenses tends to have a very slight ~5% of residual pigmentation due to the lens monomer, u can't expect the molecules to come out from nowhere.

any souls here have experience with this eyewear?

is it using glue to fasten the frame to the lens?

wont the frame break from the lens if over time I wash it with water and the glue corrode?

any info is much appriciated
