How's Chester Mox workmanship? Anybody here owns one? Guarded Goods looks good too.

Good qc, high quality construction, great raw materials used.

One thing about buying from small workshops is that you know for sure that you're not paying for branding.

Initially want to buy a wallet from bottega but then read up so much about leathers then all these branded wallets is actually very crap

Then come in here and realise got a lot of bros same mindset as me

I feel Bottega is a worthwhile buy. Not much braided leather wallets out there so I suspect it is quite difficult to pull off.

Not all branded wallets are bad too. Just that when you buy from a big brand you pay a markup for the branding.. For example Hermes uses a very good selection of high quality leathers.

I really like the bottega design but it doesn't feel "sturdy" unlike a well crafted bespoke wallet. I'll probably wreck it in under a year

How well your wallets keep depends on how well you take care of them.

Fine leathers are more delicate no matter bottega or chester mox.

True, hence if one is lazy like me but still want a wallet that last, choose a hardy leather made by a reputable artisan
