Steinhart has successfully established themselves to be a watch company which produces good quality homage watches at very affordable price points.

Their best selling model till date is their Ocean 1, homage to the Rolex Submariner. But the version which really made watch lovers stood up and notice STEINHART is the Ocean Vintage Military or OVM.

Their Pilot series watches are not as popular as Stowa and Laco, as these two companies has been making Pilot/Flieger watches since the 1920s

their watches are also not around long enough to know if their watches can last a long, long, long, Longgggg time.
but since they are using established movements like eta and soprod movements, I am expecting servicing to be done once every few years.

OV-red is using ETA 2824-2

main difference is the design concept. OV-red is a direct homage to the Rolex Red Submariner
OT500 is Steinhart first Diver's watch series whereby it is an original design and not inspired or homage to any luxury watches we know

yeah i'm aware of the prestige of OVM, but it doesnt appeal to me leh

but as wad other bros advice, i'll drop by gnomon to try those 2 Ocean 1s lo thanks appreciate it loads..

i read too that steinhart were previously focussed on homages, but the Ocean 1 Titanium was their first attempt to establish their own brandname hehe

Ocean 1 Titanium (or other non homage models) for me. Their homages abit too homey for my comfort, imho.

What do you think of the quality of the Calligraph Duneshore? I am thinking of buying the new Linden which is 39mm with brushed surface.

Have you tried them on at Gnomon? Quality wise, i'm sure they'll last long enough. I'm waiting for my Ocean One Bronze to arrive.

What do you think of the quality of the Calligraph Duneshore? I am thinking of buying the new Linden which is 39mm with brushed surface.

Quality of the watch is decent but felt that the watch did not sit well on my wrist, hence its left sitting in the box.
