don't ever rework a vintage piece cosmetically, it will remove the entire feel for it.

service internals ok. the rest keep it as it is.

It was never about giving it a new face lift, like how some owners would do to Rolex precision watches...

I gAve up on it because iirc the movement was no longer produced by Rolex and Tudor.

The cost for just getting the replacement movement, exactly the same movement, iirc was close to 5k... and that amount haven't include the workmanship cost, which was another bomb =(

If today, this was passed down from my grandfather... now that's a whole different story

Actually Big Time also has Seiko JDM leh. They do list that model in their price list but not sure if they have in showroom.

Yes, Big Time do have some JDM models which my wife is actually saying SARW019 is better than the Orient Star Classic and of cos the price is higher as well

They are quite different watches though. Agree that SARW019 is quite nice. There are so many nice watches.
