wanna bet if you wear a nomos orion, people will think its a DW. haha
Then it's ok, they don't know anything and should be forgiven.
I think Malaysia can get at $3XX. Higher number la.that is already discounted price
wa but i a bit sad, i saw skywatches list price as $3xx...i damn excited i tot a watch of this beauty and quality is so cheap?
but i found out the real price and a bit sad le...gotta delay the purchase ba, need jaga my finances too![]()
This Seiko is a very nice piece.
Some things to consider:
1) Steinhart uses 3rd party watch movement, while Orient and Seiko uses their own in-house movements
2) The physical appeal of the watches on your wrist
3) other affordable Pilot brands: Laco, Parnis
But from a orient dress watch to a pilot watch
Able to let us know the type of watch you are looking for?
900 budget can also look at Citizen, Avi-8, Tissot Visodate/PRC, Hamilton field,

Thanks to the poison in this thread, I gave in and got the Maxi off a kind soul from Carousell:

The few watches that I have, minus the OS300 which hopefully have reached Japan for servicing.

I think -usually- pilots and divers will have better lume. More dress style watches like Star Classic frown upon lume.I think I'm more into LUME on the watches and the sweeping second hands which is kinda missing from my current Nav B Chrono (too small)![]()
I have seen 4 listed on Jackroad. If you have a chance to go Japan maybe can check them out haha
Seiya and Chino are reputable online dealers... Check and see which one is cheaper...
Both bezels cannot rotate one, lol
Is that a real thing, the radiation? I've heard stories but not sure how true they are. Thanks snowver... i heard many wonderful things about watch shopping in Japan
but currently japan is outta my travel list as I am planning for a baby.
Won't want the radiation to affect my own birth chances

Thanks for the info guys

So far Chino has the cheapest price among Higuchi and Seiya at USD$631. Does anyone know if this it will hit GST if its shipped via EMS?
If not, taking factor into the credit card exchange rates, will probably be close to less than $900 probably.
Bro Henabi,
Thanks on listing the consideration point above. I already have a pilot hence won't be looking for pilot for now and I have a quartz Omega Seamaster which was bought as a gift more than 10 years ago which currently has lesser wrist time as compared to the Steinhart.
Is the movement on this Seiko comparable with the ETA Swiss movements like those on Steinhart Ocean 1 Titanium 500?

Hmmmmm my knowledge with Seiko movt is quite PTE LTD.
Probably let this article help you understand the comparison of jpn movt like orient, seiko, miyota with swiss movt like eta, soprod, Sellitas
