The process of painting the temasek map was done with a single haired brush and each stroke was make meticulously as it is an irreversible process. The porcelain dial is super thin, like a few mm's.

The painted dial is then baked - with a high rejection rate of around 50-60%. What goes into the watches are those that finally passed the baptism of fire (pun intended).

No other SG commemorative watches that I know of comes even close to this. The map is an actual temasek map. The process of painting the dial just seem to echo our nation building by our forefathers somehow. I can stare at the dial the whole day.

What do you think of limited edition watches? Hype or real value in due time?

Some examples:

My Hublot Chelsea Classic Fusion. 200 pieces worldwide. Limited edition box and signed Chelsea jersey. Serial Number on the back

Jaeger-LeCoultre SG50 Reverso. Limited to 50 pieces with no edition number present on the caseback.

What are your views?

Imo for something like Reverse SG50 limited edition... people may think that this watch was created due to a sg50 hype and iirc predominantly sold in Singapore.

But in fact, in 5-10 years time it is highly possible that this sg50 reverso watch would be much more "sought after" compared to the Chelsea Hublot watch.

One of the main reasons being that the sg50 Reverso was created to commemorate a defining milestone of a country's formation. How about the Chelsea hublot watch? Is there a defining story why hublot wanna create a Chelsea fc watch? Did Chelsea achieve anything fantastic or defining during the year this particular watch was launch?

A real Madrid hublot watch to commemorate their 10th UCL win seems reasonable. And it would be even more highly sought-after if hublot only give these watches for all the Real madrid coaches, trainers, medical team members and footballers who made it possible. Plus an additional condition that these watches are not to be sold within the next 10 years.
