been looking thru this thread and other forums trying to increase my knowledge but the more undecided I've become.. I think sometimes it's best to just take the plunge and live with the decision.. cant decide between Air King 116900 and Explorer series..

the Air King looks attractive but I cant wrap my head around the prominent minute scale, it looks confusing but the yellow crown and green rolex looks nice..

explorer is simple yet very niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..

same with u before when I decided the exp... I feel the air king too young and too outstanding liao compare to exp and the most important is the exp sit well on my wrist!

Go try on and take a photo, see which one suit u well:s12:

way more valued.

but IWC more satki in branding la. all will think IWC more sexpensive compared to omega.

:s22:

I dunno how they will think IWC is more expensive than Omega, but to me I like IWC becoz of IWC more focus on their transition skill, compare to omega, Omega they way want to change their skill to high tech material and skill, like the silicon balance wheel, movement machine polishing...

Like u see the Lange, today Lange becoz of JLC and IWC share the skill to save this brand up(read the Lange history). So u won't see this few brand will use silicon or nylon kind material on their movements.

Do u know the silicon technology Rolex and Patek also got invested? But finally why they dun use it on their movement? I also dunno why, haha

brand positioning lor. to people, IWC is perceived as atas brand.
Omega is like cheaper to acquire.
that's the umbrella perception of a brand to people.

omega is all about innovation. Rolex is all about finishing and upping their skills and making it perfect.

i don't know about IWC though, their high end stuff don't appeal to me. infact only their non-inhouse models appeal to me (the aquatimer that i had for a brief period lol)

if i were to buy a in house brand, only JLC, Lange and Patek.

But so far, only JLC is the cheaper option (still a heavy 5 figure) and maintenance is damn expensive.

I didn't consider these when I bought my seamasters.. went in to look at TH, then slowly move to Breitling, IWC... don't know how I ended up at Omega corner and bought one.. coz it looks nice to me and make me feels like double "0" seven.. lol.. a few years later, got another seamaster, this time Aqua Terra. the simple minded me..

now here I am, learning from everyone before my next hoot.

Omega is the one I most disappointed brand, lady speedmaster bought 2014 cost 5.5k+, today trade in value 1.8k and some shop also dun want to trade:s22: except speedy pro
