1) prices definitely much cheaper in Japan. Got my sarb017 at around 460sgd at yobashi camera and you get tax exemption somemore.
2) no comment
3) if you don't mind waiting, Tisell is restocking their subs next month..but you have to be put under his waiting list. Email him
I heard of yobashi camera.. How about BIC? Or komehyo the 2nd department store? But prob is no warranty... Is the price discount worth it? Esp for Orient models below sgd 300. Since those sold by big time sg still have 1 yr warranty...

Yodabashi or bic are dept stores, and it should come with international warranty.
Komehyo do mostly preowned you have to check their website
You already said yourself it's $300, is it worth your effort to worry about it?

i really wish they had automatic alternatives for some of their spring drive designs. some of them are gorgeous but i'm unable to fully appreciate spring drive technology at this stage of my horological journey haha.

Photography is indeed an expensive hobby as well other than watches. Hope to be able to learn more in the future.

cichlid's watches always look so new, what's your secret? :D

One thing to note is to clean the watch of lint and water stains before shooting, if not, have to spend a lot of time in photoshop cleaning up.

Watches are even more expensive hobby than photography! I only need 1 lens for one purpose but I need many many dive watches :s13:
