Omega speed master pro.

Less than 5k for new, will be revered by watch noob and snob alike

Thank me later

Hi guys, newbie here much to learn from you guys.

As a first time buyer of luxury watches, i am currently looking at Omega/Rolex watches. Have a budget of $5k - 6k what would you guys recommend?

Also what shop do you guys usually go to, to get your watches?

Thanks!

i got my Subumariner 14060M for SGD5800. Secondhand from carousell :o
for your reference :D

Omega wise, i think you can get a Speedmaster Pro for that price.

Mind telling us if you are looking at pre-owned or brand new? :o

my first Swiss watch is longines and lady speedmaster for her... and than IWC, sevenfriday for her, u know what I learn until today? Value is the king! When u think want to swap your watch to other watch and dun want to top up so much, once your watch have no value, then... no then liao :s13:

Omega is the one I most disappointed brand, lady speedmaster bought 2014 cost 5.5k+, today trade in value 1.8k and some shop also dun want to trade:s22: except speedy pro

because you haven't got acquainted with the oop cool cult men's watch omega 2254.50, yet! :D

:D someone here has it...i think pwillie~ :o

That's a great watch to own! The one I really admire is the reverso but for my preference, would only be worn on more formal occasions. Regular office use, I prefer a sportier and more casual look.;)

Preowned rolex explorer 1 =:p, or rolex sub preowned

Tudor black bay with spare change to go.

As many have mentioned, omega speedmaster

Or Teen titan favourite omega 2254.50 ( Omega seamaster variant) :D

If non swiss you can consider grand seiko but it lacks the snob appeal of rolex/omega.

Or you can go for a seamaster 300 if you want automatic and sapphire crystal. But speedmaster pro definitely more iconic in my opinion.

i'm targetting the reverso as a proposal "ring" to my gf :o

though im not sure if i'll be insane to spend USD400 (plus minus) for ONE INITIAL to be engraved...

he degree of artful control required to create a perfect line, one almost as perfect as machine engraving, is not easily mastered. Nonetheless, engraving a Reverso is surprisingly affordable, with stock styles for initials starting at about US$200 for a pair of letters in the Anglaise font. More complex fonts, like the Art Deco style which is filled with lacquer, cost about US$300.

JLC just released the bracelet version of the geophysic true second. I have decided that this will be my next hoot!

Sent from Samsung SM-G930F using GAGT

not your "average" watches to the regular joes:

the jlc geophysic true seconds - a mechanical watch masquerading as a quartz watch with a ticking seconds hand that advance second-by-second.

the bulova accutron watch with tuning fork movement + grand seiko spring drives - electro-mechanical/hybrid watches masquerading as automatic/mechanical watches with an even smoother sweeping seconds hand.

mind blown. :D

seriously your endless questions gave me an idea...

what if, i could create a website...
one whereby, you simply have to key in your questions, and my website will retrieve keywords and return you the most relevant websites that can answer your questions..

even better still, besides websites, it can return you images!!!

EUREKA!!!! even better! if you google for say, "K2 watch shop", it will provide you a MAP OF THE AREA!!!! together with step-by-step instructions on how to reach that location!!!!

gosh, im gonna be e next elon musk liao...

bro indigo22, here you go! https://lmgtfy.com/ :D
