any thoughts of selling this piece? ;)

you've got a good eye, bro! thanks for asking but it's a keeper atm. :) not easy to track down a brand new one with agent warranty now (just like my orient mako I.) yeah, i think i've a thing for oop/soon-to-be oop watches. concept of scarcity and relative exclusivity, i guess. :s13:

if you're really keen, you can try an AD at people's park centre. saw a brand new one in the display couple of weeks ago. :s12:

but you need to know this is more a mid-sized diver at 38.5mm diameter, and the **** stock rubber strap suck balls as it keeps digging into my wrist until it hurts.

thankfully, the navy blue nato strap is not only more comfortable, it infinitely enhances the look of the grey-blue dial and pepsi bezel. :D

Look what came in the mail folks! Straight from Japan 🇯🇵!!!

Man this piece is just gorgeous to stare at!!! Inspired by the perpetually snowy region of Shiojiri, Suwa Japan, where the GS studio is located, the aptly termed "Snowflake dial" is one of the best dials I've ever held and seen up close. The Japanese really love incorporating nature with art, which is highly evident with Grand Seikos.

Three things I really love about this piece: 1. The traditional blade polishing technique known as Zaratsu, gives this watch a mirror-like finish in the case, hands, and indices which are unlike any I've ever seen before. 2. The Snowflake dial. Duh. 3. The Seiko patented Spring Drive movement, which reunites the romance and intricacy of a mechanical movement with the accuracy of a quartz movement. This results in the striking blue second hand to glide marvelously and extremely smoothly around the dial.

Imo, a GS easily competes or even exceeds its Swiss counterparts of equivalent or higher price point. It shows the Japanese's pathological obsession with their craft and details. It perfectly embodies the Japanese culture and the attributes which they hold to the highest of regards: Passion, dedication, precision, efficiency and attention to detail.

Here's the kicker, the watch is not mine 😩😩😩

P.S This piece was purchased from Omicronwatches.jp and I handled the emails and communication with the owner, Masahiro-San. He was extremely prompt with the replies and was very efficient and understanding. I highly recommend them. It took 3 days for it to arrive to SG.

When are you getting yours?

abang, then you better fast hand, fast leg zoom down to the AD at people's park centre before it's snapped up. (no guarantee it's still there, cos i last saw it while window shopping a few days after i snagged my coveted orient mako I pepsi in bracelet at bigtime just before last x'mas.)

Were your items delivered by EMS itself or Speedpost? I realized can Siam GST if by other couriers other than Speedpost.

EMS in Singapore is speedpost. Normally only Singpost/Speedpost can siam. FedEx , DHL confirm kena with additional admin fees.
