in the end, i hoot a Cartier Ballon Bleu..wifey loves it to bit...

she said she doesnt like the tank or rolex datejust, so whatever la i guess..she like can already right. LOL


anyway, i got mine from Cortina. got to know one of the guys there who gave me a good discount..if u guys need to get a brand new watch, can pm me for his contact !

was thinking of getting a watch for the wifey as a push gift..

considering the below watches and am super undecided...was wondering if u guys here have any views?

she dresses quite feminine ie dresses etc, petite size (hence was thinking not too large a watch). thinking a day 2 day watch, rather than a dress one.

1) Cartier Ballon Bleu 33mm

my top choice..looks v classy and less common piece suited for day2day wearing and looks ok for a function as well. But friend of mine said BB is very new, not classic cartier and i shld look at Tank or Santos etc. and that the movement sux, spoil easily. really?

2) Tank Francaise

looks more dressy in my opinion..doesnt stands out for me. but its a classic cartier model..

3) Tank Anglaise

looks like a middle grd between 1) and 2)... so for me its actually b/w Ballon and this..

what are your thoughts? especially if u have owned the above pieces..

I would go for the Jaeger LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Moon steel watch, haven't seen a Jaeger LeCoultre watch in person but this piece speaks to me. Perhaps its because I lean towards black dials.

I've got a vintage Speedmaster (can't remember exact model) will have to go back and check again - the Chrono pusher snapped off.

Wondering where i could get it repaired?

I think K2 does such repairs right?

dont get me wrong..all are very nice watches, irregardless of price tag. but am coming from a purely personal opinion and purely design only, notwithstanding price k
