I suppose you mean when compared to the AD prices and not like online stores? Australia Seiko catalogue online indicate their SRP but SGP does not.

Do you know close is the local prices compared to Australia?

local ADs pieces will have the SRP printed on hangtags tied to them. a 20% discount is typically offered. but even after discount, seiko AD prices will still be higher than parallel imports. cos they have to pay rent for their physical store, factor in warranty costs to the authorized agent, etc.

parallel importers save on them, so they can offer lower prices.

i think depends on buyer bah. for eg, some serious collectors may prefer the FULL SET with valid agent warranty, roman numerals day wheel that only ADs seem to have, etc. casual price-sensitive buyers will go for lowest cost. desperate buyers will pay a premium!

the cream-dial? it's like the mythical unicorn - cos it's oop. you can't buy it retail anymore! and very rarely surface on the pre-owned market. the last one that surfaced online was a year or 2 back, i think, and cost more its original retail price!

Got to admit, between the Speedmaster and Daytona, I would choose the Speedmaster. Something about them just feels so utilitarian and looks low-profile.

If I ever add a white dial chronograph to my collection, it would have to be the Omega Speedmaster Alaska Project.

Any bros have had the experience having to send back to Japan?

This has implications on my impending purchase of a JDM Seiko

I flew in to Tokyo to send my watches to seiko for servicing. Very small area.
Downstairs have a nice john lobb boutique to buy shoes also. Few months later fly back to Tokyo to collect the watches.

Seiko will not post to you . Will not post via thong Sia also. How u send in means how u collect back.
