Hullo thanks for reply! I did a search and the standard discount offered is 20% for Oris. I am looking at Aquis. Did check Gnomon watches have Oris Aquis too.

Was wondering if 20% discount is the minimum of what I should be looking at?

Hi all,

I called up LVMH and they advised me that watches under their brand portfolio without the dealer chop on the warranty card will not be serviced by them.

As such isn't it risky to buy such watches by grey dealers since there will be no dealer chop and rejected by service at LVMH even though one is willing to pay for the service.

As to whether the size is good, it really depends on your wife's preferences. If she cares about the usual theory, the lug to lug length should not extend beyond the width the wrist when the watch is on you, so this also depends on how flat your wrist shape is.

Can also look at Orient, but the lady designs are a bit too glittery for me. The men dress watch sizes are mostly 40mm upwards, I think, until you hit Orient Star.

Hmm meaning the AD stamp and date of purchase on the warranty card. Cos grey watches usually are unfilled, no stamp. That's what LVMH meant.

I really wished it's Daytona but the stubborn me refused to pay the current premium. Played around with a few Zenith El Primeros (I really love Zenith watches, was very very close in getting the Cohiba), Explorer II but I know this is the one for me.... Been hunting for it and it's out of stock in a number of ADs, with a stroke of luck, found one piece... Very happy with my new toy...and of course, guarding it is my son's Rescue team LOL

If I ever bought another. It could be this.

Yup. Indeed it is. That's why last Dec went to London, I told myself die die must buy something. Pound very low, now's the time (pun intended). Must get something worthwhile

Was set on either Black Bay or Pelagos, maybe even get both! (Insert Tony Stark gif). Asked the SA to let me fondle the 4 diff colours of Black Bay that they have (no bronze) & both blue & black Pelagos. Then saw a Pam 631. Liked the blue Base logo & the look on my hands. Got some weight. And the clincher was when my girls remarked that the Pam was very nice & shiny. The rest looked like my normal Seiko divers. (Yup kids r brutally honest & will say the darndest things)

Wah now that I think abt it , so in effect my kids chose the watch for me. Lol!! Smh..

You trade a watch each time for a travel experience with wife!

Very pricey!

No Bronze?

I was eyeing on the Bronze but I have zero idea how it looks like on my wrist. I got a feeling I will end up with disappointment like how I tried the IWC Portuguese previously

Recently I'm starting to look into watches and boy, it's one hell of a poisonous hobby!

Currently I have a Seiko SRP772K1 as my first automatic dress watch.

But im looking to get a Panerai soon and hope to seek some bros comments on getting my first Pam!

Between ETA movements vs Panerai in house movements, any idea which series gives the least issues?

My first was a Seiko SRP769K1
then the second was the SRP767K1
then all hell broke loose
