Just tinkering with the thought, as the article mentions that there was a box of dials with no case.

Doubt I would ever do that though, too expensive, both route of going for a MilSub (even if just dial) or customised Rolex (I feel like its really for the wealthy and expressive individuals).

get a 5513 before you think of a 5517 (its almost out of reach and most people with that kind of money would pay for a patek or lange or mutliple JLC and APs)

why people bother pay 6 figures for a 5517 because its rare and they gotten bored of the usual patek and high end stuff.

there's another pool of more satki people that plays patek vintage (that one no joke, go by millions one)
