U can try.. not sure if they will bulge since their price listing is competitive with AD.

With that price from Chuan, i'd rather get from AD. Thats me :o
问题是,要得到18%折扣,该要有人引见吧?不可能一般買錶者一进门就开口给18%啦。。。

Not sure how much is it in BKK but I think it's cheaper if you get it locally. Despite that, I dont think it's worth the price since you're only paying for a 4r36 movement. Just get what you like.

Thanks bro! I think i shall give this a miss!

What are you guys' impression of 114300? Took my attention in a thread in edmw, it looks so so-ish good on first look, but the symmetry, simplicity, classic design slowly grew into me... sunburst dial is something I like too!

Nice or nay for you??

OPs are great value for money, relative to the prices of the datejusts and the sports series. their lack of date aperture also lends to dial symmetry. but the colour accents of the dial of the 114300 means they're confined more as casual/weekend watches and can't pull double duty as a watch for work.

my OP soft spot is still the 36mm 116000 with blue sunburst dial with lumed arabic 3-6-9 hour markers. it's how i'd like my explorer I to be with a blue sunburst dial. :)

Actually after wearing it for a day, i think i can live with it. Not planning to sell it also since its a gift from the missus.

Just worried does it affect the water resistance?:s11:

maybe all the more you should have it checked out and fixed if necessary? :s11: especially since it's a gift from your wife (wouldn't want her to catch you being careless with her gift) and you may swim/dive with it...

if submariner can be worn for work, don't see a problem with the OP.

Yea i keep hearing from ADs too that it might be discon soon... Dunno if this round, but imo i think next year more likely... but never know wads on Rolex mind...

the stunning sunburst cobalt blue dial of the YM is infinitely sexier and more handsome than the dull, monochromatic silver-grey platinum dial. there's a reason why watches with sunburst blue dials like the seiko PADI turtle are so popular.

if it's discontinued, the resale value cobalt blue dial YM will certainly go up for sure. but why do that?

I think retail is s$7640.
If let's say pay by cash 18% off, then become s$6265 liao. Chuan watch listing $6450 for BNIB grey (means chuan watch can bargain more)

http://www.chuanwatch.com/products/6958-Rolex-Gents-Oyster-Perpetual-39mm-114300-Purple-Sunbu.html

technically, grey sets are 2nd hand cos you're no longer the 1st owner, no matter how many stickers they leave on it, etc.

grey also means countdown on its warranty has already started liao. if lucky, could be a month. otherwise, it could be more. trade off for buying grey.

All local AD?

if sales is poor and they're not hitting their quota, can always try to negotiate for better discount. recession and job insecurity... but better be prepared to close deal if they can match the buyer's offer, otherwise, they'll be damn pissed and maybe blacklist the buyer...
