Hey guys, revisiting my above question....

Assuming if I were to buy in UK, where should I do my VAT refund ah?

I will be taking a train out from London to Paris, and Paris to Amsterdam...I will be flying back to Singapore from Amsterdam...

Thanks in advance!

Tax refund should be done from the last place of departure from EU.

UK still part of EU.

So, shld do tax refund from Amsterdam.

But best to check with the retailer you are buying from.

No point in getting the Trilogy liao. Better to buy each piece individually if you want. This is because for the watches that comes within the trilogy set, they have an extra added "Trilogy XXX" text on the dial which tarnished the original intention of paying respect to the original models.

My first post in this watch thread.
After seeing the newly launched Omega Aqua Terra with horizontal lines, i think i still prefer my version with vertical teak dial lines & a date cage window.

Yeah, it's not available on the Rolex website anymore. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing

Good for you. Prices expected to rise.
Dumb move by rolex.
Sea dweller should never have a cyclops as it should for the last 50 years.
Yes the red line OK. Only shld discon if the new model also don't have cyclops.

Tiagong sd4000 the non cyclops discon. Lol

if so, going by how unpopular the new SD is, value sure to shoot up! faster stock up to flip!

the cyclop-less SD4000 was introduced as a result of the outcry after rolex pulled off the old SD in order not to cannibalize the dismal sales of their huge, honking DSSD.

why new SD is unpopular despite inking "SEA-DWELLER" in red:
- only single red (historically red sub) instead of double red (historically SD)
- 43mm case size while retaining old dial size? disproportionate! wtf were they thinking? didn't they learn the lesson of the DSSD, DDII and DJ41 which they all quietly shelved as well?
- cyclops on the SD is a huge mistake. the lack of cyclops is one distinguishing factor from the sub.
- no "old radium" lume to ape faux patina. =:p (ok last one is :s22:) :s13:

Same thoughts. I think Rolex is going all out to differentiate the SD from the Sub, hence the increase in size and the red text (Although that was also meant as a 50th Anni tribute to the original SD). As it was before, the 2 might be too similar in terms of immediate appearance, without going into details.

good for u....the value juz shot up :D

As did my pants-dweller!!

it's bad, fitzai bro DXMachina, ALL BAD! bad to the bone!! :(

So bad that I'm gonna make sweet love to my SD tomorrow right after book-out!!

An SD with cyclops just wouldn't look right on a nato, or any other strap for that matter..
