Wa this is big news. Thought they are quite reputable?
What kind of watch? Vintage?

How did it resolve ?

bought the hands from ebay and he reimbursed me for the hands. discounted repair of $50 only. only got back the watch last week even tho we sent it for servicing in Jan.

anyway issue resolved. bought the original hands from ebay which he reimbursed and he gave me a discount of $50 which is frankly very little for the trouble we went through.

just a heads up to you guys. maybe it's just a mistake that the watch was damaged during the repair but just annoyed at the owner's unethical behavior.

I wouldn't try anyone that tells you they can service speedy chrono movement for less than 200.

I read online that he has been servicing for 25years and many people seems to have good feedback. How about K2? Read that he services Speedies for less than $200 as well.

Can try. But servicing omega chrono AFAIK is never cheap.
For full service la. Haha

Interestingly, after I went swimming with this yesterday, it seems that the color of the bezel darkened while watch case no change. Not sure if it's already darker or the sources of the bezel and case are different resulting in differences of change of color.

Wonder if Elshan can help clarify.

Can share some pics? I was actually hoping that over time the bezel and watch case would be different due to the different amount of skin contact. So may be a happy occurrence for me :p

Wah thanks for sharing! Would expect him to have bought a new original hand and replace at the bare minimum..

Nice speedy train going on. Sad that mine is still on holiday at harbourfront.

Yep, will do so.

Wanted to take pictures and ask yesterday, but forgot.

It's not super obvious, but the bezel is now a bit more rose/dark color. And of course, the crown has always been a brighter color.

Re Top Hour, he helped to verify my Pelagos, was quite professional about it and seemed quite pro... And nearly forgot to collect the verification fee.

So no complaints about my experience, but it wasn't a repair. :)
