Thanks for the reply. Currently looking for a diver and is interested in Squale's 30 ATMOS GMT Ceramic. However the thoughts of friend may see me as a rolex wanna-be is stopping me. Have interest in to 50 ATMOS Blue Opaco but it exceeded my budget.

Thanks for the reply. I went to molest both squale and Steinhart and both finishing were great. I'm more particular on the watch fitting on my small wrist.

Thanks for the reply. I actually bought and paid for Steinhart ocean vintage gmt LE weeks back on impulse due there was a particular serial number available (and at the point of time I didn't know it was also a vintage rolex homage) Now I'm reconsidering was due to the acrylic crystal w 100m WR. Felt like paid so much but no sapphire crystal like a bit erm.. :s8:

Thanks all for the reply. Appreciate it :)

Tbh if you don't mind wearing a piece of homage, you don't need to explain to others why you want to get a Squale or a steinhart. I'm very young in this hobby (only since last year) and one thing I learn is that so long you love how it looks and love how it feels on the skin, just do it.

Also I think Squale has some amazing limited time pieces (like the picture)

i think its psychological... you are making excuses to change due to the "Rolex wannabe" image, but its your money.
at the price point, acrylic crystal is perfectly fine.. speedy uses hesalite too.
Squale, oris and alpina are all ok for their divers, but its almost twice of the steinhart price.

Add on, as a real homage to vintage pieces, acrylic crystal is kind true to the dna.

Doesn't mean Sapphire crystal means Satki. Lol

Scarcity.

Every mother son also have Rolex. Not true for PP.

Also, PP prides itself on being able to service a 100 yr old watch, so you have a guarantee of lineage and value retention.

Sorry I'm abit of watch noob on PP, but does anyone knows why it is so special to justify such a high pricing. Is it the materials and movement used? Thank you!

means it's time you do some search and reading.

PP is the pinnacle of watch making for the masses that can afford them
(not considering independent makers, those are a whole new level).

materials, innovation, craftsmanship, branding, servicing.

one more, they believe a mechanical watch should last forever. what more do you need to justify the pricing? lol
pass to your son, grandson, greatgrandson, but they have to tank the maintenance.

if my dad is gonna pass me a patek, i will gladly tank the maintenance. anytime man

give u some video, mai gong bo help, wo ga li kong

Patek should be the top watch coy in the world.... In term of their branding, history, workmanship/skills and technology. It is always a watch lover's dream and target to at least own 1 patek.

There are brands much expensive then Patek too. Richard Mille is one..

After owning 2 rolexes and 1 patek.. I can tell u is rolex is ******* cheap.. Value for money robust.. Patek is an art. A masterpiece. Thin reliable movements. Great details and finishing. AP is close too. But I feel AP is not as reliable.
