Sorry if I sound too noobie, I am a newbie in watches. Any recommendations for a automatic watch in the range of $500-600? I am looking for a dress watch. Many thanks for any assistance provided!

not in any order of merit nor preferences:

- seiko sarb033 (black dial) or sarb035 (ivory/cream dial) if you're looking for a dress watch with a bracelet for that affordable "baby grand seiko" look and a respectable 6r15 movement.

- orient star classic if you prefer a dress watch with a power reserve & leather strap.

if you want "swiss made", can consider:

- tissot visodate. (~$700)

- hamilton intra-matic (~$1,000)

I must say between the SARB and Orient Stars with sapphire crystals, the Stars are just a lot more bang for the buck.

My friend 176. 4k lol no box and papers cause ghost set from Richemont
No.serial one haha
Call me can hoot anot. Hoot la.
Sometimes heng suay one.

too bad i'm a sucker/stickler for the full set. so i guess it's very difficult for me to find bargains, since they command a premium, unlike bros who happy to buy watch only to wear/flip.

what's an acceptable price for a full set z series 16570 (3185 movement nia) like mine which i described earlier (with older style boxes but newer style guarantee/chronometer card, etc) below which is considered a bargain?

The movement is very nice indeed. Love how slim and light the watch is compared to most pam. Of cos its 42 mm so more wearable for me. I dun mind the lack of crown guard but if they can make a similar watch in luminor style that will be a bomb too.

The only problem is the slighly high price of 14k retail. :(
