I say just dress for the occasion man..it's true that SG's heat is a big deterrent when it comes to "dressing up". Special occasions aside, I very much prefer the simple tee and jeans/berms if it's just to jalan and gai gai.

Perhaps that's also why dress watches get quite little wrist time from me.

Yes, but the jacket will only be worn for meetings or presentations. I kind of prefer the rolled-up sleeve look, can show more skin, maybe help in finding a partner.

Personally, one of the reason I haven't really looked at dress watches is because of the leather strap. Leather strap does not go well with moisture, especially when sweating outdoors in Singapore's heat.

rubber lined leather straps on deployant clasps could be a solution:
- minimize moisture transfer to leather strap, and also
- minimize stress on pin hole that will eventually lead to the strap cracking at that stress point.

unfortunately, design/colour/size of rubber lined leather straps are rather limited.
