I did it at THG, partly bcos watch ordered but had not arrived
But need to check 3-mth period ($200 cashback cap) when will end

Just started working for a few months. Any recommendation for an entry level watch? Kind of prefer the diving watches kind of design.
Any recommendation for like Tag Heuer?

tags are notorious for having a high depreciation. if you don't wish to lose a chunk selling your 1st hand tag when you upgrade your watch (unless you bought 2nd hand - which i won't recommend since you're starting out on watches), i suggest you save more to get one that will retain its value better.

as you know and learn about watches more, your taste will not be manipulated by fashion or ads. you'll know how to navigate the pre-owned and microbrand market better to unearth some gems.

Entry level divers, look no further than the classic Seiko SKX007/009 or the Seiko Turtles. Though I prefer the former.

Maybe go for a pre own tudor blackbay?

Or an omega seamaster

3k can settle, probably less regret as most people will upgrade from Tsg heuer once they are in the game and often regret sinking their first 2k on a tag.

So if U can try to futureproof abit

seiko divers is value-for-money & reliable (occasional chapter ring misalignment frustrating the ocd among us aside).

and respected among those-in-the-know about watches. while searching look up citizen and orient, too.

a pre-owned tudor black-bay is also an excellent choice cos it's been released for less than 3 years. (make sure you get full set with box, warranty cards, sales invoice, extra links. verify the watch serial number with the card.)

whatever you do, resist the temptation for "boutique-grade" rip-off fakes. they aren't cheap and you can't resell them to re-coup your expenditure. worse still, eagle-eyed watch lovers can spot a fake and it damages your integrity & credibility if your client, working colleague or boss is that expert.

no need to spend the time/effort/money to do that.

visually inspect all skx007/009 that you're interested in and choose the one that aligns perfectly.

use that money on a nato strap, a better metal bracelet or an AR coated sapphire crystal (choice of double dome or flat, your choice).
