as a collector, i see enhanced value retention in the full set. boxes, warranty/cosc cards/papers, hangtags, full links, manuals, booklets, receipt, documentation, etc are all important and worth paying the premium for me. any cursory market survey proves that a full set fetch better prices, and will definitely command even better prices further into the future, especially for sought after models.

I like to hoot first dump first, so doesn't matter to me. The ones that stay (e.g. Orient Star Elegant) are the ones I want to keep.
