Do you guys know where I can get the original Seiko Samurai hands to mod the Blue Lagoon Samurai? Can't seem to find at Yobokies etc.

I have a z series 14060m but is a 4-liner. Is 4-liner less desirable than 2-liner?

hi, bro chows99. first up, congratulation on owning a classic-in-the-making! a full set b+p 2-liner z series (or newer) 14060m is my next grail.

imho, desirability is a mix of personal preference, relative rarity, herd mentality, market forces, demand & supply, collectors driving up prices, etc.

to some, a 2-liner 14060m is more desirable because it lacks the COSC label on dial while the movement is actually COSC certified iirc. also the sparse 2-liner makes the dial less busy. with lesser numbers available, its rarity also makes it more desirable to some collectors.

as always, when it comes to vintage rolex collecting, it's always the trivial minutiae and even unintended flaws/defects that make the collectors go berserk and lusting after them (like fading GMT master pepsi bezels in various hues of blue & red, cracked spiderweb dials, meters first depth rating, dial/bezel fonts, frogfoot/bart simpson/etc rolex crown logos, 16550 white dials that turned cream/ivory due to paint flaw, red letterings on the sub and SD, gilt dials, crown size, etc). go figure! :s22: :s13:

for collectors, owning a rare(r) vintage rolex gives them that satisfaction & special feeling... of feeling special! :D

whatsssssssssup :D

:lick:  :s12:

bro indigo22, i have finally learned to love and embrace rolex of this vintage because of their perfect proportions. but their cheapo stamped metal clasp is still a letdown. loving rolex of this vintage doesn't make me blind to their shortcoming(s). but what to do? like marriage/set lunch, it's the whole package deal. you take the good with the good. :s13:

so... how much was yours and is it a full set with b+p? :)
