I really don't think it's possible to stuff it under the cuff to be honest.

You want a stuffable diver, it won't be a Tuna.

I'm all for 'rock what you want' but really it's nowhere near subtle.

An SKX might work a lot better in your case.

Googled for images of some watch movements and stumbled across this Vostok:

So the big gear is NOT the mainspring, just part of the geartrain that charges the mainspring - and this Vostok looks badly scratched horizontally too.

Maybe I don't have anything to worry about.

So the big gear is NOT the mainspring, just part of the geartrain that charges the mainspring - and this Vostok looks badly scratched horizontally too.

Is baby tuna ok to pair with formal long sleeve shirt?

You can do whatever you want, everyone has their own line.

Furthest I would go is bracelet diver for everyday work.

I called our favourite K2 Watch Co this afternoon, they wouldn't quote me anything even for "a basic service" until I brought the watch down.

I work like, 7 days a week (that is not an exaggeration) and I legit have no time except on off-days which are fleeting moments.

So how much can I expect to pay, based on you guys' expertise, for the following situations:

- There's nothing wrong with the watch and it's in for service (like, a lube and gaskets, sort of like oil and filters for your car kind of thing)

- There's something wrong with the rotor/mainspring/mainspring gear and it needs replacement of 1-2 parts

I saw that someone (overseas) had his SKX go bad on him and it turns out the mainspring died - he paid all of $15 for a 7S26 mainspring plus fitting and it was good to go again, but this is Singapore so let's be realistic.

I don't want to find out that I'll have to spend the equivalent of one new SNZH to fix this one, lol

Wait you say eh, nothing wrong, then go there the watch totally totalled.. Then you say eh you quote me $X, but now say $Y, how can? I'm sure got Singaporeans like that one.

K2 is quite fair one, and if it's that bad then just buy a new watch la, SNZH isn't pricey by any measure.

Not everyone likes that boxy shape though. It *is* a fair bit louder and shouts a lot more than 14060.

I think it looks good for fun colored straps because it's fun colored after all.

Please don't do a Sevenfriday.

It's a overhyped product, the Miyota movement is ok, but for some party tricks with disks to make the readability crap and mineral crystal, it don't deserve that price.

Yup, just figured it's the canister underneath the big gear, same position as with the 7S36. The big gear is the ratcheting gear.

I just hope it won't be too expensive, in the grand scheme of things.
The biggest problem will be trying to get rid of this one, if it turns out that I'm better off with a new watch.

If he says it's just cosmetic, I'll leave it alone.

Also, where's a good place to buy hands at a decent price?

I've checked out dlw.watches and they have the hands I like but 30 bucks is a bit steep for a hand set.
Plus at the end of the day all I really want is a red second hand pointer.

Does uncle at K2 sell at least hands?

in his defence, he always gives me a quote when i called and tell him the items i wan to buy + service i need (i.e. i wanna buy a double dome + i wan him help me replace the existing one on my seiko)

but when i called and say i have watches with some problem, he will also say he cant quote and wanna ask me bring it down for me to inspect

same mah, u call doctor, u tell him u cough, he cannot give u remedy/price quote for consultation over the line...he will still insist u make a trip to him personally cause there may be some underlying causes that only professionals like them have the eye to see
