I actually chanced upon mpcdude's dude post on another forum when he bought the 114060, which then opened my eyes to the community here.

Back then, I had been to a few ADs and boutiques to do a little 'legwork' and of course, to try it in the flesh. However, I still like to find out more from experienced horology hobbyist, to 'filter' the marketing aspects of the watch.

As previously mentioned, I have also PMed a number of others including GX and I am grateful for the pointers they shared, and even gave me a gauge of the price to be expected if I were to go different routes (ADs or grey dealers).

TL;DR: I think some might be shy or have never owned a luxury watch before (like myself), and feel more comfortable to ask through PMs. I still encourage everyone to do their due research and 'legwork' as it can really help make any questions you have clearer and lets others help you easier.

Bro I can't rem if you posted here relatively regularly before you contacted GX. GX quite nice one la. Maybe I think too much, since I got mine from another bro here. I have to also respect his privacy instead of broadcasting. Hope the people whose PMs I ignored will understand.

For shop prices and online lobangs I have totally no qualms about sharing openly.
