Does it have beveled edges? Personally, I do like how the date window is closer to the 3-o'clock position compared to modern references, plus the sleek crown guard does not distract attention from the dial.

Edit: not sure what you looking for. No printed dial like on vintage. It's stuck between modern and vintage. The recent retired sd4000 is a better look.

Anyone know where I might happen to find a 116600? Purely for research purposes of course.. Definitely not thinking of trying and possibly buying. Definitely not..

16600 has beveled lugs. Not that obvious from the pics and the bevels are not as pronounced as a BB, but it's there. I'm not looking for vintage or anything in particular, but I think the 16600 is one of the best sports models produced by Rolex, with classic proportions and styling.

The SD4000 is nice, but I still find the lugs to be too wide for my liking. I'm in particularly searching for a M/V serial SD, which are the last few 16600s to be produced.

I've discussed and I'll be topped-up a little on the other guy's end. Personally, I prefer the 16600. The 116600 is a great watch, no doubt. With its ceramic bezel, improved bracelet and lume. However, I prefer the charm of the 16600 with its tapered lugs and classic proportions.
