Watches are so not cheap in Thailand lol

Went to Terminal21 to check out the watch fair, Bambinos were going for the equivalent of 400+SGD. No bueno.

to be honest, not just watches. A lot of things Singapore is cheaper. only standard of living Thailand is less, but can see incremental over the years.

especially luxury goods?

but basic needs are cheaper in thailand and yes, also noticed the increase over the years in BKK. tourists spoil market?

nowadays go BKK is just chill, massage, eat and take things slow.

tried many sizes over the years, as early as 2005......somehow none of them speaks to me. else i would have bought one already.
good for u if it does.

bro yattomkame, if you can take a PAM submersible, a JLC reverso should be no problem. perhaps you feel a dress watch has to be thin?

The Reverso has its origins as a sports watch. Polo, specifically.

yes, british soldiers in india playing polo. flip over to protect the watch face.

i dun think ppl sees it as a sports watch these days. and with both faces telling time it's prob lost its protection purpose; although there still are pieces with only time on one face.

i do like JLC. esp their ultra thin perpetual cal.

Hi guys, not a watch expert here.
(Beo beo beo but never dare to buy any expensive watch)

I'm in Tokyo, Japan now and would like to ask what watch is good to buy and resell fast in singapore for a quick profit.
Not sure where to buy too, except the obvious authorised dealers in ginza and etc, so any suggestions on better places would be welcome.

Thinking of getting a patek to bring back singapore to sell, but my budget is only roughly 115k SGD
Any one who can provide me with some guides?

Thanks guys... ^.^

buy the popular ones but patek hard to move ah, the amount of ppl that is willing/able to buy them is very small.

and most rather buy from shops since they're already spending a huge sum.

i suggest with that budget, play rolex better.

Had wanted to get this some time back but decided to save up for something else. It's really a very nice and classy piece IMHO. Especially in gold and brown strap. I tried the JLC reverso but find them too thick. This one is just nice.

IMHO the santos is quite an iconic dress/casual watch at this side of the budget. Wife and I share the watch.

That Tank Solo XL is what I'm eyeing. I think it's a really gorgeous piece.

I like the "Andy Lau" Tank. That was the one that reversed my stereotype of the Tank as a ladies watch.

But hardly see it around... Perhaps at that price point, many other worthy options.

The resident guru GX already spoken.

Can only assume that you've done your homework on the prices of the various watches. Worst thing that can happen is you get something at a price that you can't flip (and that you wouldn't want to keep)!

Good luck!

Yup, patek is too pricey and a niche market.
If u r buying to flip for a quick buck, Rolex is definitely the brand to go.
The sport models are a good start.
